Yeah, you'd need some kind of massive nerfs to balance Ogres now.

It's really logically inconsistent how their "temporary" camps can produce 3x the income and have 3x the buildings of permanent minor cities. Either they need to be nerfed to the level of outposts or they need to be one per province.

Heh, with Demonic Reforging you can regenerate Blood Hosts... Even when they lose a battle.

This shit wasn't tested at all.

i dove into total war first with warhammer 2, and people already talked about ca legendary ineptitude. "yeah, their stuff is coded like shit and balance non-existent, but it could be worse". it could indeed, and it did. holy shit, they built an empire on ONE single decent idea 30 years ago and on a license. even slavers deserve their earning more than them.

My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.
Thrott's vortex campaign in WH2 felt like the gold standard because while it gave you some potentially broken tools, the campaign had good soft time limits and it encouraged using units that you ignored in other campaigns. In game 3 you just get busted stuff from the start without much difficulty. I've gotten more out of multiplayer, though it does bug me that I main one of the weaker factions that is unlikely to get a key unit or two to fill their roster weaknesses.

I did have a fairly enjoyable campaign as Skulltaker. Decent balance of "auto resolve this shit" and "okay, this needs my attention" type of battles. Bloodhosts are good, and yea you can abuse the shit out of them, but with some restraint they are simply very useful tools. Skulltaker himself turns into the usual beatstick and his army buffs are insane. At least you rarely if ever spend time waiting around.

The thing with Khorne is of course that all battles devolve into Group All and double click. It's just what Khorne is about. Your units can slug it out with anything in Lustria pound for pound.

STs campaign is alright, but what the hell happened to his unit stats? He's got dueling buffs that don't work when pitted against large monsters and SEMs due to pushback, and can only succeed when backed up by other units while in melee, which in terms of lore is pants on head retarded for being pretty much the executioner of daddy K. He can't even stand against average SEMs nor other LLs such as Gor-Rok. Also the bloodbeasts and Scylla have poor armor and no AP which makes them redundant when there's khorne doggies with AP that also move faster.

It's yet another year of CA taking its time to shit balance updates or we have to forcibly wait for another lovely edition of "please rebalance my unit bloat, SFO"

Monogod armies sans tzeentch really suffer from the fact that they were never really intended to be their own rosters in tabletop. Tzeentch gets access to all unit types since their daemons are all missile units or fliers, but the other ones are mostly just get melee stat sticks that overlap in role with each other or the mortals. Bloodbeasts are much more relevant in WoC roster due to khorne minos existing and BM get more out of khorngors due to having some static archers to protect and khorne having halberd warriors if they need to grind against large unit blobs.

It's likely that is the case because they were left unfinished or as just an intended complement to undivided WoC or DoC. Hence CA had to pull out units from 'forbidden' settings such as ET.
The faction that arguably suffers this the most may be Slaanesh, unless they do the same for their upcoming roster, which will include, yet even more, cavalry units (tittyriders and titsnakes). Blissbarb archers & Painbringers would do wonderfully in that roster if they weren't strictly AoS units.

Given that individual rosters get 5 units per DLC slaanesh is probably getting pleasureseekers (monstrous demonic cavalry), slaangors (weapon choice is a mystery, javelin throwers would be the most useful, but probably dual weapons) and one big SE. Single entity is probably going to be chimera, spined chaos beast or warpfire dragon. Two remaining ones are a mystery, but given that they never even got named regiments of renown in End Times it'll probably be reskinned beastman or norscan units. It's a roster really starving for ranged pressure pieces and infantry clear, but nothing will change much if they just end up getting more melee glass cannon AP units or tanky mortals.

Future changes which are relevant for TWW3 players
Collum also said that the separate Total War launcher will be scrapped, but not before CA can offer an alternative solution to the community for mod management.
We’re working on a plan for next year which brings key campaign changes to Kislev’s content alongside some smaller improvements for Tzeentch and Grand Cathay, while also providing anyone who hasn’t purchased Shadows of Change with the ability to buy each pack individually like Thrones of Decay.

it's not that hard, they only have to cut all their retarded shit and leave the mod manager alone. hell, *I* could do it, and i know only turbo pascal and rexx.

What's the problem with the launcher? Seems fine to me. Only issue is that reordering mods is a PITA since you can only drag them 4 slots up or down at a time.
