The game has run its course, they can't realistically add anything more.
They have already stopped adding to the Realm of Chaos campaign.
According to Steam, the new LLs are Immortal Empires only LLs.
I'm surprised they didn't do something like the Medieval 2 expansions where new factions came with focussed campaigns set in a particular corner of the map.

Probably because that would take effort.
I imagine that its because the majority of people want a pure sandbox experience. IIRC the mini campaigns werent really popular in WH1. Tho I agree the game desperately needed a victory conditions overhaul.
Then go with both. Smooth out some of the finer details on the world map and you can have the Lustriabowl both as part of the entire planet and as its own smaller campaign. Think the contrast between the dedicated Britannia map and the normal world map.

i thought ca finally redeemed and next dlc has several new lords for each faction, instead it's the worst of the worst: still only one single lord, with an extensive following of named heroes.

I still need to finish some campaigns and Im working on Slaanesh currently. Used a mod to move Azelel into the faction.
Using the TT unit caps mod I have to say, the game isn't really built around caps. It makes the AI shit out even more stacks than usual and as Slaanesh the autoresolve is NOT in my favor.
It's turn 110 and I still haven't finished consolidating the Norscan mountains for my victory. It's a huge Order vs Chaos tide, and now the Orcs started the big end game Waaaagh too.

ТТ caps don't work in this game because stacking low tier units is also overpowered.

The game is now in "that place" where battles are easily winable but tedious to actually do because of the stack spam. Fuck my life.

Yup. Small custom campaigns a-la beastmen would have helped revitalizing this corpse of a game. Alas.
Hmm were those the same boring ass campaigns nobody ever played yet made everyone complain was price gouging for factions nobody wanted to play as because were also weak as fuck?

Of course I do appreciate more "free" content. :smug:
-neferata+ nagash, id genuinely be salty if at least one of these two didnt make it in especially as the lahmians are on the map as a minor faction
-hind, araby, albion, nippon, amazons, pygmies in a perfect world. They did cathay so the precedence has been set, but GW is probably the biggest obstacle even if they greenlit bs like female custodes

We will probably get some Araby, Albion and Amazon units with Dogs of War. Cathay will probably get tigermen as stand in for Hind. I can maybe kinda see them adding some snakemen to Slaanesh as Khuresh units to fill the roster. Doubt we will ever see anything Nippon related.

Pygmies not only are never happening but you will probably be banned on other sites if you even think of sugesting them lmao.

These changes broke more than just monsters. Apparently flamethrowers are super turbo imbalanced now too. And manger squigs can't move through forests...

I can't fathom why that might be.
The lore is even funnier:
When male twins are born in a Pygmy village a feast is held to celebrate the event and the two boys are ritually appointed witch doctors of the two gods, Brobat and Beesbok, with the fatter youth being assigned Beesbok. When they reach the age of fifteen they are given huts at opposite ends of the village; each then dedicates the remainder of his life to serving their god. If there is already a pair of witch doctors in the village, the twins act as apprentices until the death of one of the witch doctors. When female twins are born a feast is also held to celebrate the event, and the two girls are ritually appointed as special "Guests of Honour." As such, female twins do not reach the age of fifteen

The new Ogre lord's mechanics are actually pretty good. It's fun to be able to join either side of the war to help who you want, get paid, then peace out. Kind of feels like what the Changeling should have been since you aren't just hidden from everything and can theoretically lose. The payments are also actually decently sized now (the base ogre payment for quests mechanic looks to have also been buffed), so doing them makes sense now.

But man, is it overpowered. You produce way, way too much food, and Ogre camps upgrade completely around food (no gold cost, no growth needed), and provide up to 1200g/turn and 20 food per army in their radius. And this food per army can stack, so you can hire a single lord, stand him in the radius of 4 camps, and pocket 80 food per turn. Of course you also get an absolute ton of food from fighting too. The primary limit on you getting an infinite number of max level camps is tech and construction time, not cost. You'll commonly have every camp building and upgrading every building possible simultaneously.

Your camps are also close to indestructible since they have 0 upkeep armies attached to a lord that can't leave (and nicely gains XP over time), and you can build what units you want only for defense. So its kind of like a "make your own garrison" system, which is a great idea that would improve the game if implemented everywhere but also needs some serious limits since making a garrison of 19 thundertusks makes defense into a joke. Once you've got tech every minor province can get a camp producing 1200 g/turn like this.

Yeah. Annoying thing is that I actually like all the mechanics they introduced for this faction but why play a game that is so trivially easy even with AIs given all bonuses. Maybe some of it will get nerfed in a month or two but I doubt it will be nerfed enough, and CA seems dead set against having some kind of unit tier/value restriction to prevent doomstacks.

The mod to 'fix' the splash damage changes is pretty much mandatory, without it Ogres get completely demolished by anything with even just a little bit of antilarge.

You presuppose that Ogres aren't so powerful that they can just autoresolve everything past turn 1. Ogres are possibly the easiest campaign in the game now, you rocket up to infinite money, tier 5 units, tons of powerful lords and heroes.

Maybe that's how this bug got past QA, no one bothered actually fighting with large units.

CA need to hire a team that does maintenance and bug fixes. Every time they upload a patch something fundamental breaks.

Looking at the new Ogres ... yea, this is stupid. Why give them Lore of Heavens and Death?
