Regular codexers are mostly those who at least in their mid 30s having more time playing video games and talking about them than caring about more important things out there.

People on a website called RPG Codex caring more about RPGs than the average adult is truly a mind-blowing revelation.

Over 35 years old grown ass dudes who have more leisure time playing video games and discussing about them on internet than spending more time to earn money for their kids

RPGs are now turn based not to stay true to their spirit and their roots, but to appease the technical limitations of the home entertainment systems, in order to broaden their market spread.
What home entertainment systems (and what games) are we talking about? Because Baldur's Gate 3 is coming out only on PC (and on that nonexistent console that shouldn't have technical limitations at all). Also, seeing how well they optimized Divinity: Original Sin 2, I think they could make any kind of game work with great performances even on a toaster.

It seems there are some people that don't get why this thread exists. Does my statement trigger you or not? C'mon people...
To get triggered by something it either needs to be at least partially true at its core or complete and utter bullshit. That's neither of those, so it's 0 triggers out of 10 to me.
