Speaking of Cairn (or whatever the stone dude's name was) I remember in one of the pre-release videos it looked like you could rebuild him or some such, with his various parts being listed in the 'Artifact' list on one of the spires. What becomes of that? I didn't get anything of the sort on the independent path so I figure it must be tied to one of the other paths.
I killed him with stone dudes and was allowed to take one of his parts. You can then reforge the part to make it more powerful or make an item out of it.

Ah, that must've been it. I was able to extract a part of him to use as an accessory but I didn't get the option to upgrade it on the independent path.

You did. You can reforge it at a forge.

Also curious where is the 5th edict. And remaining 5 towers - symbols on the first one show 10 in total. I guess Kyros has the rest.

That would be very lame. Tiers is very small piece of the world when compared to the rest of the continent. Yet still it's possible that in the past it was the place where Old Realms had their seat of power, hence many spires.

I still think that it's all orchestrated by Kyros. She/it wanted Fatebinder to consume power of the spires just to later subdue him or merge with him.

Is this shit even worth pirating (god knows I'm not giving money to Obsidian)? The vibe I get from YouTube vids is that it's a more banal version of PoE, which by itself was pretty dull and banal to start with.

Nope, you should waste your time downloading gay porn like usual you faggot.

Buy Age of Decadence instead Comrade... you will get Iron Age game without girl powah and whackamole combat plus Fate Binder is fed ex boy who is not even fit to polish :obviously: Praetor greaves still:

Although in some moments this game delivers when you can punch manipulative bitch face or sentence double traitor to live of sexual servitude... or burn hole village for aiding the rebels... yes they at-least realize that in pre industrial setting alternative to slavery is not Free DOOM but good old fashioned genocide. This game has many such Renegade moments and is somewhat entertaining if you play it Codexian way. :incline:

So so far its worth demoing or even buying for 5-10 $ from bin.

Really struggling to continue this game, it sucks way too hard.

- Combat is both a joke and a massive annoyance. Encounters are barely varied, amongst human enemies the most noticable change was that there are no teleporting fucks past Act 1. Dungeon filled with Bane, even though it required me to change tactics, was incredibly dull. Wounds are a massive bother and I utterly dislike them kicking in at low health, should've redone rest system entirely instead of having this shit forcing you to rest. Party AI is complete shit and can't even retarget the enemy you've done a combo attack on.

- Companions are really bland. Between a man more shit than armor, chaotic murderer girl, chill old man with a TWEEEEST but not really and Little Miss Carriage there's not much character to be had, occasional funny moment notwithstanding. Really glad the game allowed me to kill Eb on spot, but miffed that it didn't let me do the same with Kills-In-Shadows.

- Quest design. Act 1 siege already showed me there's not much C&C to be had as all that changes there is the color of your guys, both sides have exactly the same plan of attack. Then there's Lethian's Crossing where you can go early but where you can't do shit because apparently you need to do some other plot related quests. It's baffling because nothing indicates that you can't deal with the town's problems or at least threaten old man to give up the key. Then there are constant scripted interactions kicking you out of stealth and enemies spawning out of thin air. Last but not the least is the quest mentioned by Shadenaut earlier where best possible ending is achieved by a middling Lore check (like 58 IIRC).

It sure was funny to make Sirin and Lantry do the deed, and the whole setup is just pure cringe.

- The writing so far is thoroughly mediocre, shoutouts to faggots who thought another Chosen One deal in a game like this was a good idea.

I swear, if PS:T was released today, people would say that the companions are are edgy and gimmicky.

Guise, a floating le funny skull! Le edgy burning mage! Le freedom loving thief but of course she gotta be half demon cause edgy! Stoic samurai warrior archetype! So badly written! Why can't I just kill them all, lolzors!

This is my biggest problem with the game's story. The original set-up of you being a Judge Dredd-type was perfectly fine and even unique. But, no, they couldn't leave it alone. If they really needed to make the PC an Archon by the end of the game they could've done something like having you take the place of one of the existing Archons after you defeat them. That would've been a bit more logical and earned relative to how the story is orginally set-up.

Instead you are so special and unique and cool and bad ass and awesome and powerful and you can beat every one and even rival Kyros! Fucking retards.

I said "bland". None of the companions goes beyond the initial schtick, despite plot reveals, and the schtick is usually not particularly inventive.

Like, Lantry gets his big reveal that he was a spy for Voices of Nerat, and absolutely nothing follows it. Same with Verse and her newfound power. Most I've got was Sirin complaining about having to kill the baby after telling me she was the cause of her unborn brother's death

Also, option to kill KIS would've been really fucking logical after being ambushed by that thing and provoking it to fight. I've done everything to aggravate that creature and in return? "Oh Fatebinder maybe you'll agree to let me follow you some day"

Feels like a more appropriate way of playing the game. I hope I won't have to listen to various proud womyn generals orders across all Tiers now though.

Liking this a lot more than POE despite the no friendly fire and lack of flanking (decline). Companions are more interesting than POE, if they may be cliche sometimes. They are less serious, more BG2 style but at least you don't die of boredom unlike in POE where Durance was the only good one (never bothered with the expansions). The "woman power" is quite annoying but bearable. But it seems half of the powerful warriors or officers are women and the homosexual couple feels really forced, especially when the founder of the town is a "sexually liberated women". Verse is actually funny and the writing is decent but not great.
Itemization is a lot better than POE but rogues teleporting on my supports is retarded and reminded me of dragon age2. The fights can be messy and 4 characters is a stupid limit, preventing fun combinations. Same for the limits on spells icons. And the one who designed the magic talents should be hanged. Most of magic talents are improving your attack with your magic wand, which are decreased by might (physical power only in that game). Of course I make a wizard to do full auto attack....The spell creation system is good and if you play as a mage you have access to really powerful spells quite early.
Good game but too expensvie right now and more on the casual side. Not worth it for pure combat fags.

...and I have only now discovered that you can make illusionary fireballs. Which deal raw damage. Why oh why can't you start the game as an illusionist?

No, there are no companion quests.

Which was really strange. The part with Barik and his armor, and Verse with her Nerat-lite ability, I was expecting some payoff from that - if not a proper quest, then at least a chance to help them get to terms with it and acquire a new ability from it.

Cut content, perhaps?

It's a good thing that all the kids who think Undertale is the best game ever are too dumb and too ADHD to play PST.

How do I beat the battle in the Ascension Hall? It's me, Lantry and Verse. Barik ditched me since I sided with the Chorus so I have no tank. Anyway it's three vs seven and it seems impossible.

Go Raedric style - there's a room on the left, choke them there.
