I'll just add in another thanks for the great work with this, Drog. I've been following this with interest.

I'll never understand what drives a man to do unpaid deeds of heroism like this for scunks like us, aka the internet population. But you got my thanks and I can't wait to give it a go once I've wraped up MM6.

Have you ever wondered why some parts of Virgil's dialogue never change when he turns good/evil? I always thought that the developers were lazy on fully rewriting the dialogue, but it turns out they were lazy on scripting. You see, dialogues of most of followers usually consist of two files: a main dialogue and an "override" one. An override dialogue consists mainly of combat taunts, a healing dialogue, responses of NPC to PC orders, lines related to joining/waiting/disbanding, etc. And as I found out, there are files and sound clips for good and evil override dialogues for Virgil. The moment you leave T'sen Ang a script checks for Virgil's alignment and changes his dialogue to a respectful one. But they forgot to add override dialogue change. And now it's finally fixed.

Those extra dialogues are also quite funny, here's some lines from Surly Virgil's one (the voice acting is excellent as well):
I am becoming tired of healing you. [He sighs.] What type of healing do you need now?
You are swine! There is not a chance that I would consider following you, dog!
If that is how you feel, then so be it. You will die quickly without my help, and I will laugh about it.
You'd best not hit me again, accident or not, dog!
Hah! Die you bastards! That will teach them!
You damned fool! I'm dying because of your recklessness!

No, they're not. But they give me 30 reaction, not 50 like other animals. There may be another problem with them, but I'm not sure what it is.
They give me 0 reaction while other animals 15 or 25.

EDIT
Good work with Virgil's dialoges! [And overall too]
This just reminded me that Torian Kel's remark upon appearing in Kree isn't voiced while his other dialoges are.

Do you have a reaction lowering background or wear some reaction lowering items (barbarian clothes, the Bangellian Scourge, etc)?

Yeah, I have "Sold your soul" background.

EDIT
I'm looking forward to next version. When to expect it?

Yeah, I have "Sold your soul" background.
Well, it works this way. Animals always act aloof (ignore race and beauty reaction modifiers), and their reaction base is always 50. But when you wear reaction changing items or have a reaction changing background it affects aloof creatures. E.g. if my character wears a smoking jacket then chickens give him 70 reaction. In your case, all animals should give you 30 reaction (because of -20 penalty). But there's still something wrong about those cows, one of my characters received 30 reaction, but another got 50 like usual, and my characters didn't have any reaction changing backgrounds or items.

I remembered something. Does Torian mention his former home and his ancestral sword in Kree? There's a dialogue and sound clips for it.

When you first arrive there he tells [without voiceover] that this in fact was his home and you can ask him standart "What do you know of this place?". That's all.

I'll check the whole place.

EDIT1 I checked. Yes, this dialoge happens.
EDIT2 Funny thing it triggers more than one time.

Don't bother, I already did. There IS a trigger. You have to enter ruins in the western part of the place, and Torian will speak this dialogue.

Multi-Herbalists (I don't think there is one in the arcanum module) can sell lemons and potatoes but not Herbalists.
And nobody else sells them.

And a fun fact is that, the bladed boomerang ( grenades being special, the only throwing technological weapon) is nowhere available to buy...

Because there are lemon trees and potato plants in the main module.

There is bug with Halcyon altar. If you repair altar on your own(without getting quest from Stringy Pete) then the altar becomes bugged and you are unable to make offering. It ruined my game last time(yeah, I'm of those power players, who like to get all the best items/spells/blessings etc. Without being able to get ancient gods blessing, I just discontinued my game).

Because there are lemon trees and potato plants in the main module.

I know of them but I don't think they refresh their inventories everyday like every shop.
So, you search for the lemon trees and the potato plants and at last you get the few potatoes and the few lemons available in the entire gamel.
If you buy and use the associated schematic then you will get ~10 charges (aka ~3 extra shots of tesla gun).
So as it is, it is quit useless and not a alternative path to the Chemistry schematic.

You don't have to learn a scientific discipline to create bullets, you don't have to learn a scientific discipline to create fuel but you must learn Chemistry I to be able to create charges: this is unfair.
At any smith.

Oops, my bad...
Must have misread the value...

Yes, I checked and they don't get respawned. I guess, I'll make them respawnable then.

Hmm I reinstalled Arcanum updated to 1.074
Downloaded the mod pack and unpacked it to the same directory. Doesn't seem to be any changes although there are some new files in there. Must I load a different file or something?

No idea. It should work if installed to the same folder. What changes you don't see? Try running the supplied CleanCache.bat again.

Heh, no dice, I'm redownloading the patch 1.074 elsewhere and reinstalling arcanum again. What's my first clue that this mod works?

The ogre bandit at the crash site must show an Ogre icon...
Or you can choose a barbarian background and look at your armor (must be bronze and not dark) in the shopmap...

First, I'm amazed at your work here, thank you so much, I think I have another bug for you:

After visiting the dark elves, and returning to Caladon, when I go to speak to Alexander at the Panarii Church my intelligence drops to 1??

Anyone else experienced this?

I have, but if I remember correctly, one of the official patches solves this one.
