"Embers of the Gods" is a throwback to old school western style role-play gaming in which players develop a party of adventurers though exploration, combat, questing, and leveling up.

"Embers" tells a story about a cyclic period in time when the gods are replaced or 'renewed' and the god of nature going rogue announces and brings about this time of change.

This one looks very promising, unfortunately there are some flaws that make it unattractive in my opinion.
Those are the overused effects in the fight scene.
The slow motion is good, but the blood splatters are too big, too much blur and lighting effects.

Here are some scenes:

This is more of a simulation rather than RPG, but I'm posting it anyways.

It does simulate tedium rather nicely. Right now and since release it's been a parking enforcement simulator. Dude parks in handicapped zone, dude parks facing wrong way, dude parks on curb, give ticket. You can also use the radar to catch speeders and give ticket. You can also stop random people on the street to check their ID and go through their pockets. Many young people have a set of false teeth for some reason, because Germans have special humor.

The most action you get is a person is dealing drugs or jaywalking and you chase them to arrest them. The devs have said that unlike every other police game, or the popular LSPDFR mod for GTA V, they are putting the focus on the routine first so that it becomes the ultimate simulator and then they'll add the gunfights or fist fights or really any violence. If those are one end of the spectrum (gunfight every time you head out), this is firmly on the other end (you have a gun and you can take it out, but you'll basically lose the game for using it).

Cynics say it's a scam, because whenever people ask about it on steam or their Trello board, the devs always cite some statistic that says only a small % of US cops ever use their gun over an entire career and say they'll add the gunplay later. Which is probably true, but also doesn't console the dude who wants to do more than write tickets all day.
