Any comparison to Dark Eden from back in the day?

No playable human faction and no hackers but there looks like a bit of overlap. Dark Eden was a laugh back in the day. I remember getting bat form and we would follow some high level character through a dungeon as he laid waste, looting everything we could and laughing like maniacs.

i have very mixed feelings about this one. Combat is not enjoyable. Hiding from sun on other hand is great.
Worst is fighting enemies that carry weapons, while you do makeshift stuff from bones, or mine copper to not even enter bronze age.
And why would I even bother with my base? Unless it changes if you were to do pvp or something

I dont want to deal with this anymore. I keep thinking how amazing it would be if it was in se7en engine with that sun mechanics instead

Yes, the whole "gear based progression" and MOBA cd based combat and loadout system are teh two greatest problems with this game. Sadly the RPG mod didn't worked for me and I had to play with the stupid "you are what you wear" system.

obviously im late to the whole thing. Perhaps devs were inspired by gw2?

Or from D3 and I hate it. I want to become better at throwing blood bolts by practicing with blood magic, reading mysterious tomes, not by equipping a bigger and sharper axe. Sadly the RPG mod didn't worked and I had to play with this atrocious system.

You get to be a vampire and build a castle sounds awesome but I know this game will not be.

i found myself fascinated by potential and ended up playing a bit more. Only to be confused even more!

teleportation is so bad. Why cant I teleport with certain items? 1k heavy rocks? All good. But if you try to enter with single spool of thread...
So I did craft an explosive ready to get to certain boss. However, you cant teleport with it! As such I was annoyed enough to teleport my whole castle.
Its... tedious. You need to get rid of all the trees and obstacles, only to build it from scratch(reuse tiles). While im on building annoyance - why do I own those chests that contains only building materials, but cant use them for building? No, I need to take em out. Same for any crafting.

Its such a shame, I quite enjoyed how various settlements can fight, was sneaking behind some vampire hunter while he was pulverizing undeads way stronger than me. Not that I gained anything out of it. But it shows that implementing some sort of mechanics of you blending in with villagers wouldnt be too hard.

Back to fighting bosses. Ofcourse most of the arenas that I encountered were unprotected, so fighting under moonlight is required. But then - why on why cant I advance time while sleeping in the coffin? I play solo ffs

It's designed for PvP in mind. You can't teleport with some items because they are used for crafting better gear and progression, which other players would want.
Hence why if you're just making a solo PvE server you enable the option to allow teleportation.

Yeah the castle teleportation mechanic isn't great. It's better than before where you have to build everything from scratch, but it's still a bother because there's a bunch of arbitrary rules that stop you from teleporting the castle, and if you want to place more floor tiles then too fucking bad because it won't let you place something that doesn't already exist. So you have to just dump all of your tiles and crafting stations in one place and then build it up from there.

You can edit a text file to teleport with your whole inventory as well as other variables like drop rate.
