The "very important" TBA dev diary they had announced a week before is apparently Music of Seattle.
A lot of people do have a lot of strong feelings about what the music's going to be like.

I doubt what they're announcing is going to make up for the lack of Rik Schaffer though.

Well, I guess it's something really important for them because they shuffled diary orders around to release Music earlier.

What is the point of clans if you can learn anything and everything and master every discipline from every clan?

Clan choice has been reduced to a mere starting preset, or a "history" from Bloodlines 1. Restrictive is superior in every way because it increases replayability, assuming the game is worthy of replaying at all and that it has some clan-specific content, mechanics and flavor.

What is the point of clans if you can learn anything and everything and master every discipline from every clan?
Outfit selection.

They said that all outfits will be available regardless of player clan.

At the rate they're going we'll be seeing dev diaries the same time next year before the game ever releases.

Modern marketing tactics:

"Please don't compare us to a game made 40 years ago with 1% of our budget."

"We only have 50000 employees and are owned by a megacorp, we're basically indies."

"We're targeting an audience that doesn't play videogames, but it's the chuds' fault if our game fails."

"We know our marketing doesn't get anybody excited, and instead is growing a strong hatedom, but we'll keep doing it."

"Please don't expect much at all."

From the looks of the upcoming dev dairies, we won’t be getting anything resembling a gameplay video until at least Christmas or after. That is seriously concerning, we should be seeing more than GIFs. Show us a quick walk around a hub or something.

They did show us some gameplay before, it was some kind of extremely watered-down Dishonored in some random warehouse.

I’ve seen it, that was also almost 9 months ago and a very limited portion. We should have at least seen a little footage of a Seattle hub and the interactions of feeding. Need a little more than a few GIF. Even HSL in pre-alpha let us see the pioneer square hub.

That's what we call a successful indoctrination. Brainwash, if you will. "No more yanky my wanky" was funny back then when you were a man, and became "offensive racist stereotype" now that you're a faggot. Math!

Bloodlines's East Asian characters were definitely offensive
No. They were not offensive. People who think they were offensive have psychological issues.

Possibly incurable. Sad.

The characters in Bloodlines were caricatures. Not only ethnic ones, but we had funny surfers, whores, bartenders, bail bondsmen, film producers and even FUCKING INTERNET CAFES. Not everyone has to like everything and that is completely normal. The problem begins when a climate of suspicion, speculation and sanctions is created, which is intended to intimidate people into being afraid to think something incorrect.

But enough about politics. Can someone summarize for the lazy me the recent events in the magical world of incompetent vampire game developers?
