A game that seems to answer the question, "What if Agent 47 was a vampire?"

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong is the latest in the long-running line of video games based on the popular tabletop RPG series, and today IGN can exclusively reveal a new gameplay overview trailer that showcases the role-playing mechanics Swansong will offer through its different playable characters. Watch the three-minute video above.

As developer Big Bad Wolf Studio describes it, "Each of the three heroes has a character sheet that the player can fully customise. You can be an expert in speech and persuasion and dominate others, or you can develop your technology skills so you can hack computers and locks. The heroes also have vampire powers of their own: the Disciplines. For example, Leysha can Obfuscate to conceal her presence, Emem uses Celerity to reach otherwise inaccessible locations and Galeb makes others his puppet using Domination."

A clever wrinkle added to the gameplay is that if your thirst for blood gets intense enough (you are a vampire, after all), that hunger will affect the in-the-moment choices you have in a given situation. Swansong is about mysterious assassins who are attacking the Boston vampire community. Big Bad Wolf Studio says it's "a story-based game with multiple story branches, in which certain choices permanently affect the fate of your heroes and the Boston vampire community."

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong will be released on May 19 for PC (via the Epic Games Store), Xbox platforms, and PlayStation platforms.

I'm curious about the little girl companion though, at first I thought she was the malkavian's hallucination but apparently she's real. embracing a kid is really nasty, I'm curious to see how they'll handle it.

Uh ..... okay. I just watched it. A vampire pretends to be scared but then eats the guy who was going to assault her. What exactly is the problem? The very existence of a black character in Boston? Because if that's all it takes for you to start crying, I have bad news for you.

Is this bait? If this trailer was about a blonde straight white woman running from a black man chasing her through dark alleys, concluded by her killing him before he can rape or do the same thing to her, the public outcry would be insane. But since everybody knows whitey tries to rape/kill strong independent black women like this all the time the trailer is "cool" and acceptable. This trailer is only the way it is to garner clout with all the eunuchs obsessed with this franchise now.

The new trailer showcases the white male protagonist murdering women, including a black woman. I guess the game will get cancelled by those same SJWs now, huh?

All the characters and animations in this abomination look so jarringly bad that there's no way any dialogue, cinematics, action scenes or infact anything at all can be taken seriously in this game. Add on top of that the "look we have oh-so-diverse cast of characters whose only purpose is to fill a gender/race/sexuality/whatever-the-fuck quota here" and you got a solid, steaming pile of current day garbage here.

The game is set in current day Boston so it's probably about as diverse as it should be. Save this argument for the medieval fantasy games!

While most of these are very well typical modern Boston dwellers, this lady is definitely someone on the artist team's waifu. Vitiligo is incredibly rare IIRC, and people only started finding it attractive when someone on America's Next Top Model had it. Very much a modern phenomena, and something tells me this chick isn't one of the newly embraced.
