White cis male can only identify with the most homosexual of the clans? Poetry.

Matthew Dawkins of Onyx Path Publishing will be a co-writer in Swansong.
I don't know if the retro-ironic styling is intentionally goofy or not, and don't especially care. To me it's part of the fun.I know vampires are supposed to be edgy, but these designs are kind of cringe matrix-era edgy.
BUT I wouldn't want Blade to be any other way.

I'd feel bad for anyone who had this haircut in real life

Personally, I never felt the Blade films were actively trying to look as goofy as they did. I feel like the costume and set designs were supposed to be COOL!, straight up. There were jokes in the dialogue to be sure but the setting and characters took themselves very seriously. I don't disagree that the tone here is different ... bottom line, to me the silly costumes are not a bad thing at all.Blade pulls it off though. I think the trick to the 90s retro look is you need a certain mix of camp and playing it straight to work.
Not getting that feel from this game. It seems to take itself too seriously.
The Council was nothing if not deadpan camp.Blade pulls it off though. I think the trick to the 90s retro look is you need a certain mix of camp and playing it straight to work.

On a side note to the side note ... if you get a chance, look up Wesley Snipes and how insane he was on the set of Blade. Like, he didn't answer when people called him by his name; he only answered to the name of the character. It's hilarious to read about. Talk about taking things too seriously!
Watch gameplay videos of The Council if you want a sense of it. The Council is more or less an adventure game, that navigates like a 3rd person RPG, with lots (and lots) of dialogue and very deep choice & consequence. There are "dialogue battles" with substantial branching and millions of skill checks (which in the Council are sadly easily beatable by a proliferation of skill boost potions). Lastly to mention are many very good puzzles, not dumbed down at all, only authentically smart people need apply - at the same time no roadblocks - it's OK to get puzzles wrong and take a penalty, then proceed with the story. What kind of gameplay does this have ? I am clueless to the term "narrative rpg". Is it like Wolf among us or just a point and click adventure ?
Stop right there Council freak. I want my Swansong to be more of immersive sim than adventure game. Having stealth as one class ability is a good sign.Watch gameplay videos of The Council if you want a sense of it. We don't really know how much Swansong's blueprint will follow this model but it's a good starting place to mount your expectations.

Losing weight and gaining muscles was also impossible. There was a discipline that cold fix this, but the most played sect had near zero access to it.
You have to understand that some of the Codex posts from Brazil. The guy is obviously white
the guy doesn't look white to me, just look at him in his preorder outfit. honestly though my first post was a little facetious, i don't really care if the guy is white or not. it's not like i'm buying the game anyway as it's only coming to the epic gay store.

Storywise and mechanically The Council was exceptional for a modern adventure game. My main complaint is simply the fact that the Uncanny Valley wasn't deep enough for them and instead they dove headfirst into the Marianas Trench of the Uncanny Ocean. The Council is more or less an adventure game, that navigates like a 3rd person RPG, with lots (and lots) of dialogue and very deep choice & consequence.
If you haven't played it, this might sound like it's some stupid gimmick, but really Zombra is describing it accurately and it's a good thing. My only problem was the batshit crazy stuff like George Washington being turned into an Asterix character. The Council was really good about having gameplay mechanics integrated into its story, so I'm holding out some hope that this will turn out well.
Most likely not. They don't have the budget I think. Is this going to have DENOOVO?
Main character avoided uncanny valley with his cartoonish face proportions, but for the others devs went with realistic face structures and it looked unnerving as fuck.Storywise and mechanically The Council was exceptional for a modern adventure game. IDK about post 5E, but before that they regenerated the haircut (as well as other hair) they had the moment of embrace every night. Losing weight and gaining muscles was also impossible. There was a discipline that cold fix this, but the most played sect had near zero access to it.
Let's tell a Vampire story, but where do we start? With the hugely popular TTRPG, Vampire: The Masquerade as a base, how do you go about turning the rules and systems into a video game.
Join us as Eliott Hipeau, lead quest designer, walks us through the pillars that Swansong is built on and how important they are when developing our Narrative RPG.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC on May 19th, and later to Nintendo Switch.
