In Canada a lot of people go hiking. They manage to avoid grizzly bears, wolves, coyotes, zombies, and cougars. Probably they have magical amulets or something.

Thats because most of those critters are scared shitless of humans by now. Try hiking duing the pre-historic times and you will see the difference. Those saber-tooths can be really ferocious.

During pre-historic time, your whole day was spent on the wilderness with those badass animals lurking about. And we managed to survive. With stone tools.

They aren't scared shit if you're not driving through their hunting grounds in a huge landrower jeep (or better yet, hummer) while blazing 12 gauge rounds through the window.

They're scared of me, dude. You need to work out more. And use more tiger musk cologne.

Yeah but what Iam saying is put one of the campers of today into the prehistoric envornment and see how long he/she survives.

Heck, why don't you goto your local zoo, get inside the lion cage with stone tools. Let meknow how long you survive. (or better yet, i will watch it live on utube)

How many RPGs take place in pre-historic times?

Unlike grizzly bears. They are like big fuzzy kittens, really.

I thought the whole point was about *avoiding* dangerous predators, no?

I dunno. I don't bother keeping track of points and post what I am thinking at the moment. My bluntness and honesty are what make me so popular around here.

Yet you phailed to answer:

How many rpg's take place in canada where the protagonist is a modern day hiker?

Yet you failed to understand figurative language and analogies in your never-ending quest for the literal. You should be a programming language compiler.

Some people say there are no stupid questions.

Those people have never read one of yours.

And you (or rather veedee) phaile to understand mine. Take a look at your own sig. My every post has hidden meanings and deep philosophical isights hidden within each letter.

I wish people would stop sucking veedee's ballz just because he is working on aod. Remember people did the same with cleve blakemore; my he led every1 on a merry chaseover the years.

I still await veedeez answer btw.

Much philosophical isights do I sense here. :)

I don't understand: do you get some kind of satisfaction from this erratic behaviour of yours?

Wasn't VD, more than working on, actually doing AoD?

Anyway, this whole issue is a non issue. You can not be forced into combat when all the other characters in the world are. Just the same, you have not to be forced into it when at least one of the world's characters isn't. The PC should be the result of the player's choices, and if I choose to stay still and not get into trouble, there should be consequences to that. Of course that's like an utopia, but still, concepts and design is just about that.
