Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut Codex+ Now Streaming! Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Regarding wokeness, character creation is at least funny.

Colorado demographics:

84% white
4% black
4% other

Out of the 36 portraits with visible faces:

11 white
14 black
9 Asian
1 mime
1 clown

W3 is set in the future white boy
Then why are white people in the game?!

Because naggers have extremely poor survival skills and especially after a nuclear holocaust where future time orientation and self-reliance would be the critical skills to have. I.E. Natural selection has returned unlike our current Clown World where the herd hasn't been culled in several generations. Prayer for nuclear fire to cleanse the land!

Ad melee - in W2 melee chars reached a guaranteed 95% hit chance after a handful of levels and from early-mid game until the end they p. much never ever missed.

In W3 my Fishlips has Melee 9 and 90% base hit chance. However many mobs have high evasion so there are many fights where he's lucky to get a 50% swing. It's literally hit and miss with him.

Is that normal or am I missing something here? I guess I'm gonna be able to find a slightly better grip mods for my hammer but not by much. Do I just have to live with it?
My Brawler is built like this + lvl 8 brawling, as far as I understand his his CtH is 115%? The base weapon CtH is 95% percent. Death Wish quirk means he can't wear any armor so there's no variables there. He basically never misses unless he gets demoralized or the enemy is in a smoke grenade cloud.

Is there a way to disable hud elements? Screen is way too cluttered with useless information.

The portraits are terrible, are they backers? That would explain why they are ugly as fuck. All my rangers have portraits with masks on so they look half way decent.

Did anyone complete the game siding with Angela Deth? If so, please tell me the ending slide for that is just "lol what the fuck were you thinking"

Seriously, she's written to be a complete idiot in this game. Her plan seems to be:
Step 1: Kill the Patriarch and his children.
Step 2: ?????
Step 3: Freedom for everyone! Yay!

As acknowledged in the tie-in novella, there's good reason why she wasn't promoted to general despite being the ranger with the most seniority. It's the "principles over reason" option.

I imagine if a lot more journos completed this, they'd be irate that Wasteland doesn't have a sunshine-and-rainbows-communism ending. :M

The whole 'principles over reason' thing doesn't even really work for her here because she wants to help Cordite, a guy who seems to be just as bad as the Patriarch, if not worse. She doesn't seem to have much of a plan for what to do with Colorado and also can't really take the moral high ground.

But when you mix white and black, you have brown. Would there be enough non brown/non black to allow keeping original skin color?

This game is really lacking in the sound department.
The dead silence during the dialogues, is really jarring.

I am in The Bizarre and the background sound is one of a deep crypt

I feel like the wokeness in wl3 is done...tastefully compared to most modern games. It's definitely there but I haven't felt like anything is shoved down your throat, and most of the choices you make in game aren't black and white from what I've seen. For example, helping to smuggle the refugees, in most games that choice would cause a parade of blue hairs and trannies congratulating you for your stunning bravery, but here making that choice actually pisses off a lot of rangers and townsfolk. And it could just be for flavor, but it seems that helping the mexicans refugees is gonna cause some sort of trouble at hq later.

I finished that dungeon crawl and so far it has had no direct consequence with the Patriatch. It's like nobody noticed the statue opening up a hatch. Plus, it's implied that the operation is based on plausible deniability.
That's kind of a shame. Especially since you can actually go talk to him about it before you go to the dungeon and he denies it but says IF IT WAS REAL THOUGH DON'T GO THERE OR I'LL FUCK YOU UP LOL JUST A JOKE. IN MINECRAFT *WINK*

Patty will be angry if u go down there and save some ppl and kill ppl, he'll give you a final warning on top of the rest.

I can smell currentyear wokeness from miles away but I'm not sensing anything from W3.

There's a lot of old guard libtardism:

1) "lol those dumb Republicans are worshipping Reagan lol", says a Californian boomer writer with a holy picture of FDR on the wall behind him
2) "lol isn't the Bible-belt redneck accent so funny? Here's another one", says a Californian boomer writer with annoying nasal accent and a lisp
3) "the Machine Commune is so nice because socialism is about sharing and caring you know? See those Reaganites? Who's the real unfeeling robot here?" says a Californian boomer writer whose entire knowledge about socialism comes from his 1990s UC Berkeley "history" class.

Before the Big Break about three years ago that sort of stuff has always been omnipresent in American entertainment - TV, movies, games etc. - since most of it was produced by Dunning-Kruger coastal champagne lefties.

Modern wokies are less concerned about Reps vs. Dems and more about allies vs. nazis. They don't focus on mocking rednecks, they denigrate all straight white men. There are a lot of damsel-in-distress situations in W3 which is a taboo nowadays. Also no powerful black women as leaders anywhere.

W3 is not woke but at places it's the most obnoxious example of the old-guard libtard writing. The stuff about the Reaganites is so grating, so embarrassingly on-the-nose, it's the worst part of the game. But I'm only 30h in.

I was born and raised in the bible-belt (by people not from there thankfully), and that Californian is spot-on. The people there are sound fucking retarded.

Man, just finished the game and although it's by no means perfect I really really enjoyed myself. Loved the combat, icing on the cake was that I got to kill that annoying Angela Deth with a tactical nuke in the end.

The songs were great (even that Phil Collins cover at the end) as were some NPCs - loved Marshal Kwon and his banter with his old friend at Ranger HQ. Lots of nice quests, and an impressing amount of reactivity regarding your accomplishments when you backtrack or talk with certain NPCs.

Sided with daddy Buchanan, kept his kids alive - didn't join with that gangbanger in his secret prison. Killed Deth, remained in Colorado and at the end of Saul's tenure got to decide on who his successor would be.

Armor system annoyed the living shit out of me, in the last 30% of the game just don't bother and max your damage in order to not get hit. Besides that: 8.5/10 for me.

Upcoming Stability & Co-op Fixes - Patch 1.1.0

Greetings Rangers,

First, we want to just reiterate our gratitude to everyone that’s decided to take this trip with us into post-apocalyptic Colorado. We’ve been blown away by the response from players, press, and even when there have been issues encountered, people letting us know how much they’re enjoying themselves.

However, we know that’s not true for all of you, and we’ve been working hard to resolve bugs and issues that are in some cases making the game unplayable.

Before we go any further, we ask that everyone refer to our Known Issues list as it does have some workarounds we’ve seen helping folks over the past week. Disabling auto-saves and temporarily disabling antivirus and/or firewalls have, as we’ve seen, resolved everything from crashes to progress losses to co-op disconnections.

Patch 1.1.0

We released one quick hotfix already, which we’ve seen improve console stability slightly, but we know there’s more to do.

We’ve been working on patch 1.1.0, and it’s looking like we’ll be able to release on Steam and GOG tomorrow. Console updates have a more in-depth certification process, but we’re hoping it’ll be out on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and the Microsoft Store by the middle of next week.

We’ll post full patch notes, but as a general overview this next patch addresses:

PC & Console
  • Fixes progression reset/loss issues for co-op and single player
  • Fixes an issue in co-op where the intro movie may not play for the host, or could cause one player to become stuck watching the intro movie
  • Fixes for loading screens in co-op and single player stopping at 33%
    • Note: in some cases we’ve seen this can also be caused by host/client connection issues, please see the above Known Issues list for troubleshooting.
  • Fixes an issue where game progression is blocked when system is set to specific regions/languages
  • Fix for co-op radio transmissions to sync for host and guest
  • Fix for co-op Kodiak de-sync issue after receiving a radio transmission
  • La Perla quest blocker fix
  • Fixes Fishlips’ encounter issue
  • Polly and Cyborg Chickens are being toughened up
Console Only
  • Multiple fixes aimed at greatly improving stability on consoles

While the 1.1.0 patch has primarily been focused on resolving the biggest blockers and issues, we did manage to get a few smaller things fixed too like toughening up Polly. We’ve been reading and logging all of your reports (thank you!) and already have people working many of them, but these took priority. We’ll be continuing to resolve those bugs and issues in the weeks ahead, and will keep you updated.

Thank you again for your support and your patience, we’re working to ensure your time in the post-apocalypse is a great one.

- inXile entertainment

Lol. Was selling junk and apparently I "found an antique" which "sold at auction for 155.000 colorado dollarros". 10 luck I guess. I'm in the end game so don't really care, but that would have made the game even easier than it already is if it happened earlier.

The best auction I've ever had was worth 800 bucks.

That was your stack of scrap, it counts as one item. It's possible to buy and sell it back and forth until that 5% perk procs if someone willing to abuse it.
