Was it possible to save Major Whatever with medic 1? The option was closed, but I've a feeling that it'd be something "[medic 1] the wounds are fatal", i.e. a useless observation.
It would let you euthanize her. So basically all the options were "She dies" but with a different flavor.

Curious if anybody with a potato PC/laptop played it and could tell us how it runs.

Judging by the fact that the game uses Unity and how well "optimized" inXile past games were, I wouldn't expect miracles, but still.

Everyone knows the best way to reward your crowdfunding backers is to give them a shitload of items at the start and ruin the early game economy because thats very engaging, good job inXile

Hey guys, long time listener, first time caller. I just wanted to let you know that most RPGs allow the player to remove items from their inventory.

No need to thank me!

Another plus for the Codex - a negative review from Rock Paper Shotgun: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2020/08/27/wasteland-3-review/

Wasteland 3 review
Remember jokes?

That's the longest text I've seen where the author says essentially nothing. Also what kind of writing style is that? Like they're too in love with the sound of their own voice or something.
but that doesn’t make its writing any less puerile, nor its combat any less uninspired.
This describes WL3 quite well. (If he meant as simple as written by children, and wasn't complaining about immature writing. Some RPGs should have immature writing, some don't. That depends on what they simulate. FO and WL are in category where immature writing is mostly fine.

FO2 had juicy combat with few mutated stuff one the left, the main character with OP skills on the right, and stuff exploded. Including quite nasty stuff happening to main character. Yea that addiction to Buffout was self-induced, but other stuff wasn't.

Reminder that Brendan Caldwell is the guy who rushed head first into the brick wall that is Pathologic.

As for wl3 I have not played it yet but I can safely predict it's the same thing all over again. Fetch shit, pretend to make big choices, smarmy tough dialogue... same ol', same ol'. RPGs have become so, so very boring.

It's better to just invest in coordination + int and pick the serial killer trait, so you get two shots in a single turn, and spend the additional skill points from int in the sniper skill since you get much better hit chance bonus from there.
The problem with INT is it actually doesn't increase your skill points per-level, unlike Wasteland 2. That's a big ol' kick in the junk when that realization sets in.

It gives you increased crit chance though, although it's most likely not worth it over additional penetration. Also, I don't know how those lucky chances work. Kinda nonsensical though a sniper with no AW and high coordination and luck. Inxile probably tried to nerf the stat since it was OP in W2 but ended up overdoing it.

This game has surprised me, literally, I thought it was out in March 2021 or some shit...turn on my gamepass, boom: I'm playing it in 20 minutes.

Gotta love that.

Aside from load times, which aren't too terrible on my HDD, the game runs perfectly. No performance issues. It just runs solid on my 1080Ti + 3900X.

i decided to finish off Wizardry VI before starting this. First time in my life where I'm finishing one project before starting another one.

I don't want to start playing a second massive RPG, need to savor Wizardry then savor me some Wasteland..

I tried to load it on windows '98 and it just blackscreened! Disappointed that Fargo doesn't want to provide service for us old school gamers...

Any good so far?
How does it compare to wasteland 2?
Well, from what I seen on streams they opted to more fast and tight start than in WL2. The skill system and other RPG elements were strongly degraded as if they were scared of how some stuff would affect balancing.

Not sure about late game. If you don't like extremely overspecialized characters, cheat engine would have to supply some skill points at level 12. (INT looks like it's dump stat in WL3.)

Edit: WTF are you talking Infinitron. I don't live in country with 300 MB/s internet speeds that pays every disabled citizen a disability pension. I definitely don't have it installed. And considering I had to do shopping and cooking I wouldn't be able to download it even when I started 2 hours ago. Naw, I honestly watched Australian streams yesterday, they had PS4 version region unlocked much earlier than PC users. (Yes I know watching streams instead of pirating pisses some people of. But what can I do? It's not like I was hired as consultant few years ago with right for a free copy.)

11.500 peak players so far on Steam(stats) (vs. ~19,000 September 2014 peak for WL2 apparently). I always got the impression that MS and Fargo were now aiming for their share of the DOS and XCom crowd, fully voice-overs, co-op, but does Wasteland really hold that appeal?

Does it work on Win 7? I know it doesn't officially, but not officially?
Works without a problem on W7 for me.

Technically BG3 EA should actually run too, but they're still in testing (official word from the official Larian forums).

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture
Plays fine on my laptop through Gamepass. Looks like ass even though everything is set to high. Performance isn't great, there's some annoying delay when using the 'strike' option in combat that functions like aimed shot. Only played through starting section so far but it seems ok enough to want to play more.
