You must have really refined tastes, but for everyone else:
VtMB2 -> successor to RPGcodex #6(?) rated RPG of all time.
BioWare -> responsible for I dunno, multiple titles on the same list probably
KCD2 -> sequel to RPGcodex #16(?) rated RPG of all time.
Obsidian -> responsible for a bunch too (deadfire is on the list, wtf?)
Fable -> like I said, nobody gives a shit.

Genre implies gameplay, not brandnames. Just because assassin creed and gta-likes are being marketed as "RPGs" nowadays doesn't mean that the Codex, of all places, should play along. Or that railroaded and nonsensical weeaboo shit suddenly became more acceptable than it was 25-30 years ago.

I agree of course, this thread is for comedic purposes.

But speaking seriously, these games are the face of "western RPGs" to the mainstream.

Hey, BioWare's not dead yet. It's live horses I'm beating here.

I find it funny how the only thing KCD2 had to do was play it safe and avoid dumb shit like LGBTQ and POC in Bohemia and they would have reaped the rewards and laurels, especially with the tide turning and people becoming very sensitive and having zero tolerance even for a whiff of wokeism.
Yeah I was just thinking this. The tide has already turned. Wokeism is about as relevant as wearing a facemask in 2024. It fell pretty damn quick and continues to plummet by the day.

Very poor timing, and worse perception. I mean if this were 2023 or even mid 2024 I could appreciate the rationale but now...it seems like very poor judgement. Maybe he got turned, or maybe hes acting under orders, a bit of both. Maybe its just egotistical trolling.

The current generation of creatives doesn't have any ability to independently create (or even imagine) content that isn't woke because that's what modern culture programmed them to create and care about the most. Production these days tends to avoid telling them they can't do woke stuff for X, Y, Z reasons.

The Enhanced Editions of Black Isle are worth playing if you're really feeling that nostalgic, Tyranicon.

I prefer them for faster save\load and adaptive resolution. They're not bad and convenient way to play IE games, especially if you use mods because BG games still have active modding scene.

Removing beamdog fanfiction out and restoring old style cutscenes is mandatory for me though.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 definitely takes the cake, I admit I am more than a little butthurt over the game but otoh the potential for drama is immense. This should be an easy win for the chuds but its now a woke game so there will be a big split of people either defending or attacking it. For the other side this is a woke game made by someone the sjws absolutely hate so, again, some people will defend it and others on that group will go ballistic against it.
