What are the best Main Menu screens you've seen in video games?

Stronghold Crusader because I really like how it calls your profile name. "Welcome, Lord ___."

Really like that warrior too and the theme music; although, the theme music throughout the game is so much better. Sucks that they just kept recycling music for each Stronghold game. Whoever created that soundtrack did amazing work.

The fuck? It's like music theme was written for a sand nigger game, not for crusaders who like against them.

DE has great menu: the meaning of standpoint, the "camera" becomes clear only towards the very end, nice touch. And art style, the music are superb.

As for something cool about game's menu, Starcraft was already mentioned - but there's more to it: title screen is awesome by itself, sure but when you are about to select campain - the three races, it's beyond coolness.

(tough to find the OG one but this to get the idea for thouse who hasn't seen)
UI/UX overall was so fucking great (and it was taken for granted

Some of my favourites like Thief and Freespace have already been mentioned here, but I really like Path of Exile's main menu too. Very thematic!

The old track is much better than the new Oriath theme too IMO!

Does your cool menu have a 5 hour recording of it? Mine does.

A simple but atmospheric menu with a very good track.

This menu alone sold me on the game. It's just as good.

I need to replay this game.

When you hover mouse over buttons it out a slight screechy/scratchey sound and if you click them it's like a "hit". Couldn't find that showcased though.

Wasn't able to find the human one (first one), but essentially if you hover mouse over things, they play an animation with some minor sounds as well as the ambience.

Those 80s and 90s space sims had such badass main menus :obviously:

There was also The Nations, a whacky sims builder type of game:

I spent like 10-15 minutes just staring at that face, nodding my head back & forth, before hitting new game.

Nwn2: Mask of the Betrayer has a standard main menu visually but the music really hits you.

The main menu pretty much set the mood of the game for me.
