Ugh. Good luck with NWN2, sser. I've probably tried to get through that game a half-dozen times over the years, and always get bored early on, right around the section with the city on the cliffs or maybe a bit further.

I've been playing lots of Minecraft lately. I've been playing around with emulating different architectural styles. Going to make a play at doing something gigantic and more original soon though.

Little bits of other things here and there, too. Some New Vegas, and also some F.E.A.R. 2 in an effort to play through some of the stuff that I bought on Steam over the holidays.

I'm bored with it right now and I'm only at Neverwinter.

My Barbarian is Chaotic Good in an anti-hero sense. Well, I got to the city and my choices to get into enclave were either join the scumbag gang murdering everyone or join the fucking militia. I joined the militia because the evil route wasn't in my plans but it makes my BARBARIAN look like a goddam conforming tool with his stupid militia cape. I was trying to find a way to maybe butt heads and get in with some muscle and fuck all attitude like a barbarian would behave in a city (or a druid, for that matter), but I couldn't find it.

I'm at a point where I just went through a bunch of missions and a giant warehouse... I get back from all this crap and the local lieutenant, in the span of about three sentences, congratulates me and then sends me off to do some other chore. The responses available to their bullshit was so hilarious I almost screen capped it; basically just three different ways of saying yes. Why even include multiple lines if they're all the same...

Giving The Witcher a proper run through. Mainly to be fresh on the setting when TW2 hits.

After poisoning myself with Dragon Age 2 I've gone into a sad state where I now pretty much come home from work and, if I want to play a game, lie down in bed with a beer, a bowl of fun and my Nintendo DS. I'm replaying all the Ace Attorney games again. Doesn't matter that they're linear as fuck and I know exactly how to speedrun the damn things. They're really good, fun games. Well, maybe I'll skip the fourth entry, Apollo Justice. That one was actually pretty terrible even though I kinda dug the Master Yoda as a hobo thing they did with Phoenix.

I'm at the last case of AA2: Justice for all right now. Maya has been kidnapped and the kidnapper is forcing me to represent the killer or else he'll kill Maya. It's pretty grim stuff, really.

Got Final Fantasy Tactics earlier this week (found a local store that sells PS1 games).

So far (14 hours, chapter 2)

TacOps - I finished one of the two big scenarios from the demo and I decided to buy a full version. The AI seems to be pretty decent.

Hind - I finally managed to make my joystick work. It turned out that with the right "how to" it took about 5 minutes.

iM1A2 Abrams - a very nice combination of a tank sim and a tactical RTSim.

Hush, you! It's a real crisis for Phoenix Wright! For the first time in his career he's representing someone who is actually guilty. He's pretty much switched places with Miles Edgeworth. Man, oh man...

Well, it all worked out well enough in the end, I guess. Gumshoe sure is a pal.

Persona 3 Portable - emulated with cheats on. I've already finished the game twice, I'm in no mode to do a fresh run. That and I like cheats in general.

Google - I'm trying to look for some good PSP games that work on JPCSP.

Crysis 2
Shogun 2
Homefront (shit, but I want to see exactly how much shit it is)

Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup -- after dozens of pathetic games where I never made it past the first levels of the dungeons, I had a breakthrough and took my Spriggan Enchanter to about the midway point of the game, before falling to a pack of summoned monsters that surrounded me and killed me before I could teleport away.

Panzer General -- love the crisp, simple top-down graphics. Much better than the sequel's. The challenge here isn't so much the combat itself but rather the turn limits.

Battle Isle -- the squad tactics game included in the GoG pack is kinda crappy, and the first Battle Isle is just too old for me, but Battle Isle 2 is great, and appropriately hard.

Get back to us on that. I've heard it's your standard 3 hour long popamole corridor on rails, but my curiosity won't let me spend valuable time proving that.

Currently, I'm doing exactly this:

So, what is the game you're mostly playing now and what do you think of it?

To start this thread off, I'm spending most of my gaming time on Paradox's Crusader Kings with the Deus Vult expansion and the DVIP mod installed. The game honestly has me ensnared so much that I'm even dreaming about it. Haven't had that in years. The game is somewhat of a mix between a medieval sims, strategy and roleplaying game in which you guide a dynasty through the Dark Ages. It also has a tendency to shower all sorts of misfortune over you at the most inopportune moments. Love it, even so much that I started an ironman of it. Masochism incarnated.

For those interested, Root is making an excellent LP of it.

Started with the county of Cornwall, with the goal of recreating the grand Breton kingdom. Playing ironman and fully roleplaying my characters, I'm struggling with a terrible and potentially end-of-game lack of heir at the moment...

Yep, Gumshoe is truly dat nigga.

I'm on the last case of the last game in the Phoenix Wright trilogy and they've all been a lot of fun to play. It's probably my favorite series this gen. The games are just loaded with charm (something missing from games these days) and the writing is pretty entertaining. I usually press every statement and present every object just to hear what the characters have to say.

I still have the spin-off games to play, but I don't want the Phoenix Wright ride to end :(

Yeah, Phoenix Wright was one hell of a ride, and surprisingly better than I expected to get. Sadly both the Appolo Justice and Miles Edgeworth episodes aren't on the same level, but still fun to play through.

100% agreed, guys. I've reached Apollo Justice now and Phoenix has turned into a smug mastermind con man, I'm loving it. If only Apollo and Trudy could be less annoying to walk around and if Klavier could act less like a douchebag maybe it wouldn't feel like a chore.

I've been playing Shadowrun on a Sega Genesis emulator lately. It's incredible how much the game delivers with so little content.

My poor dynasty in CK got raped into oblivion by a slew of illnesses, madness and betrayal that makes the Borgia look tame in comparison. Tried my hand at Paradox's Rome: EU with some mods but it still remains a better idea than game. To think that all it needs are some refinements and bug fixes. Shame Paradox has all but given up on it. The one mod I have high hopes for seems to be 'about to be released' for the foreseeable future.

Currently slowly making my way through Dragon Age: Origins. Holds no candle to the classics but is a fun game for short bursts. Most gaming time goes into Shogun 2 though. Loving this game more and more as I play. The attention to detail alone is awesome. Great to see missions spring up that stem from happenins in the game itself and also provide a good challenge and decent reward. CA's finest so far.

Killed a rather barren wife in my latest game in order to get someone more capable of popping out little ones. The kinslayer trait I gained was enough to send my realm spiraling into instability, rebellion and civil war with my dynasty's last hopes for continuity dying.

Braving Alpha Protocol.

This game is seriously not made for PC. I'm willing to tolerate it since it's very rare to have Spy RPG. But where are the fucking disguides?! Finished Taipei. Mixed bag.

Didn't you play it earlier? I was under that impression.
Yeah, this is probably the seventh time I play through the series. Just venting.
