I know nowadays the act of buying games during early-access, on day one or even week one is discouraged; and rightfully so, given that so many devs treat their 1.0 product like an on-going live-service thing with many remaining bugs and missing cut contents that will be added back later as paid dlcs.
I mean, why pay to be a beta testers whether it is under the guise of early-access or 1.0, when you can just play other games on your backlog and wait a few years for the 50% off complete bundle with full patches and all DLCs instead?!
However, personally I would still go against my better judgement and make an early-access, day-one or week-one purchase to support the devs of my favorite games. Indie games often receive this treatment from me, since they are much cheaper and thus more affordable full-price than their AAA counterparts.
Thus, I intend to get full-price all of the upcoming following titles from late 2024 to 2025 if the initial impressions are good enough (otherwise refund is always an option):
1. Drova Forsaken Kin (15-10-2024)
2. Passageway of the Ancients (16-10-2024)
3. The Adventurers (11-11-2024)
4. Guild Saga: Vanished World (11-10-2024)
5. Flint: Treasure of Oblivion (24-10-2024)
4. Hidden Pass (4-2-2025)
5. Banquet for Fools (1-10-2024)
6. Scourge of the Reptiles (2025)
7. Sector Unknow (Q1 2025)
8. World of Antera (2025)
9. The Royal Office of Magick Affairs (2025)
What about you? Do you still buy game full-price during early-access or on day 1? If yes then what upcoming crpgs do you plan to buy this way??
