Tale of wuxia had some top tier girls.

btw since this thread is first thread I seen name I would like to say I enjoyed Wuxia Tale more than say Wasteland 3 even with parts of already badly translated text collapsing into chinese. I probably wouldn't even care for lack of QoL features (maps are not hard to memorise anyway) and replay that game if some modder would fix, well, everything as evil/secret path. Although combat ended up quite primitive though even with ability to add your woman affection and painting skills to dmg. RPGs really need more variety in settings at this point anything but american cargo cult or medhhhival fantase breathes life into you and makes you play RPGs to the end whereas some other games you'd drop at that level of (lackof)polish Wuxia has.

I don;t understand 3d though, with artist like that (one who did portraits n stuff whoever that is), they should have made it in sprites. Just feed portrait/ending slides person ALL money and make them draw whole game, throw that engine away.

Tale of wuxia is a remake of an older game. The cute sprites are straight out of it. The engine is new and the whole game was made with a budget of 500k so it is impressive how much they achieved with that.
They knew the limits of their combat, so the later stages have you controlling big armies. The other thing i liked is the variety of martial arts, including the literal tens of martial arts you actually cant get in the game.

There is a patch that adds a whole other layer to the game, a new ending path or two and the new game+ mode, but they never translated it. Theres a team working on it but i wouldnt hold my hopes up for it.

Also they are working on a new game, and this time its being translated by a team of fans while on early access, so every new version of the game comes with a top notch translation. The title is Path of Wuxia. Check it out. Seems to be totally worth it from what ive heard.
