Who would be stupid enough to install it in the first place?

Er.... Sorry Crispy. ;)

@ octavius we need a thread in GG to make votes on the first mod.

Apparently Todd & co lied about there being no werewolves in the game (or being able to turn into one). :incline:

If only all of Bethesda's lies were like this one.

I'm suspecting this as well. Hines has a "I won't deny or confirm" attitude to this question. And we all know what THAT means. :smug:

Steam activation, though the files are not encrypted. (It seems this was not implemented because it would have made advanced modding impossible)

Do you have a source for this? It's the first time I heard of a game's files being unencrypted prior to release on Steam. I take it the preload will be unencrypted as well then?
It won't use the CEG encryption on the files once activated so script extenders will be possible. It has been confirmed by Bethesda.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. It's rather cool of them to let modders make a script extender, which will doubtlessly be necessary to implement advanced features due to the fact that Bethesda have cut so many.

My Brother sent my a version of this as a Gift for my birthday over steam

Last Year he gave me Dragon Age 2 as a Christmas Gift.
I think he might hate me.

Can't you gift it to someone else?

I pre-ordered it today, and bought a new graphics card and a couple of memory sticks as well.

Not if he directly sent it to him from the order screen. He could only pass the gift along if his brother bought it for himself as a giftable copy, then sent that to CrimsonAngel. Directly buying a game and sending it to someone automatically adds it to their account (Once they click accept). Buying a "Giftable copy" and sending it to someone doesn't, they have to go to their gift pile activate it.

He sent it to me over steam and even if i am not that big a fan of the series it is a gift so the least i could do is try it out.

Might download the "demo" eventually. Not sure if it will be on release though as I already have quite the backlog. If I can still get some enjoyment from the open world exploration (maybe) and the storyline (Bethesda, chances are low) I will pay for it.

It does seem that they improved on the artworks (as far as locations are concerned), which is a plus.
How much derp is in the story and it's presentation remains to be seen.

If it looks as if it could be fun despite it's rpg-light ruleset I might be tempted, but I'm in no hurry...

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Racial bonuses:

Looks like Betehsda bent the bretons over and gave them a good fucking.

I'll have to test them in-game but so far Bethesda has actually managed to dethrone the last top TES game when it came to race balance (Arena).

Also, judging by the argonian ability, everybody has basic health regeneration. Let the butthurt begin. :smug:

Yeah how did Bretons get fucked? 75% magic resist at the start of the game for a full minute? That almost sounds overpowered.

Why is this idiot happy about the regen? Or am I answering my own question?

It doesn't make any difference in a game like Skyrim.
