My inventory is full, going back to town. This is maddening, every step = one battle. Then I need to rest = 3 battle one after the other. 90% is filler combat, wolves, spiders etc. My party easily kills wyverns and demons. I hope the encounter number will decrease.

Excerpt from Aschultz walkthrough:
Demons are in the roow 2 doors down. They are guarding the portal to the demon world. Fight them, drop everything but The Eternal Dagger, and walk through. If you're held back by an unseen force, check everyone's inventory. Check their backpacks too. But you can keep your gold!

Is this true? Do you really have to drop every arm and armor and item?
I have spent hours and hours to optimizing my items. It is somehow confusing, with bash/cut/thrust/cold/flame/drain/storm defense. Now I drop everything?

Finished Eternal Dagger. It is the same like crpgaddict, it was may be too much playing the two in series after each other.
The beginner wizards island and dungeon was great. But after that was not so good. And I get tired of the dungeon battles where every battle scene had a choke point (door/corridor). So my warriors were useless because they could not move. So my 3 mages were infinitely spamming Magic Blasts spells till the end. Magic Blast/Fireball can go through walls.
Interesting fact: you did not have to bother to selling/buying/enchanting gear on the beginner island. Using only that you found.
