Is there some key I need to hold to make stuff not look like absolute shit, with random gaps between apartments, crooked roads, etc.?

Power didn't work. I finally figure out what the problem is after painstakingly tracing the whole route. There are two power poles that are so close together that they're overlapping but they're not connected to each other. The only way to tell is if you zoom in really close.

I want to like this game but they really ought to have fixed some of these problems. When you got power poles that are actually overlapping, I consider that a bug. And it's not even hard to fix, so I don't get it.

Well if it is already built you can also use the buildings properties>wattage overlay from the overlays window, it should color the power poles if they have current. But the overlays are not the best solution when playing in realistic mode and laying down kilometers of sewage pipes that take ages to build only to discover they're not connected somewhere :M

Thanks. I figured I must have been overlooking something.
