Well, Jake Solomon, I think one of the good guys of Firaxis, got upped from measly developer to creative director in XCOM 2, so here's hoping he'll go wild.

Umm, he was in charge of Xcom 1 as well.

As for the interview most has been said by CthuluIsSpy. Also it has been insinuated that you might travel outside the planet for some mission or final mission.

The Long War parts of the video insinuated they are not going to implement any of the harder (read more interesting) game feature into Xcom 2. When asked about it, Garth started talking about their audience and then moding capabilities of Xcom 2 LOL.

Yet he gave a pretty good interview than most gaming journalists would. Glad he brought up The Long War mod and the whole scripted shit in the demo.

He does listen to his audience, as much as it's dudebros and consoletards in general. Though he did have that meme video with Spoony back when the popamole TPS was unveiled. "BETRAYAL!"

Too bad, but as expected. Probably do a LW Pt for EW while waiting a year or so for the mod that makes xcom2 interesting.

Of course it makes it faster, you can do less things. If you limited it to only one action it'd be even faster.

Actually the two move system had nothing to do with consoles.
The devs tried it with TU first, and didn't like the flow of the game.
In fact, the very first version of XCOM : EU looked really similar to the 1994 game.
And then they showed the prototype to a consoletard focus group, and it all went downhill from there. :decline:

Stylized graphix a-la the original X-Com hurts even more, why do they have to keep this retarded tabletop 2-phase system and all other gamey elements of the game? ipads and android phones can't handle the simulation that was done by mighty 486DXes in the 90-ies?

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
People it's simple: Did you like EU and EW? If the answer is yes then you'll like XCOM2 even more. If the answer is no then probably XCOM2 won't be much better for you.
They kept the 2-phase system because it worked in the first games, even though some people don't like it.
