Fifty in the codex drive and fifty through the regular channels. Since I haven't paid for an overpriced, sixty dollar game in a long time, I still came out ahead. Or at least that is what I tell myself as I try to sleep. How can it possibly be that I may fall for hype? Yes, it was a wise economic move, and in fact I saved money from it.

Not every1 can be an oldfag but hey,I am happy that you guys are happy and excited. If a book version of Wasteland would exist I would read it just to see whats this all about but there is a certain level of ugly I wouldnt touch with a broomstick and Wasteland is easily in that category(but what you expect,I am barely older than that game)

$55. Even if Brian Fargo runs off with my jewgold and gives me nothing I consider this a fair deal. Wasteland came out well before I was even born and I never had the chance to properly acquire a removed from inventory version.

0 - got literally zero means of digital payment for something. If only our world (or at the very least kickstarter) was progressive enough to accept MODO tix as currency...

$15

I am a poorfag, I donated the $15 on the first day of the kickstarter, March 13th, which was also my 25th birthday. I have a little more money now, so I may up my pledge to $55. I don't care about the extra shit, I just want the game.

And to certain faggots in this thread, yes WL1 is ugly, but WL2 is not going to be nearly as harsh on the eyes. Did you like the graphics of Fallout? Planescape? IWD? BG? It's going to be more in that direction.

It has pretty portraits, though. I suspect that in modern colour depth/resolution they'd look like graphics in the Watchmen comics.

To be honest, the graphics of Wasteland have certain harsh charm to me. I remember seeing a screenshot of it in a review of the Ultimate RPG Archives back in 1998. It was showing the gaming hall in Highpool. I have found that screenshot fascinating. I often opened the magazine just to look at it.

I gave them nothing because there's not enough information.

I would need to know at least the following

- does the engine run on a JVM? I refuse to use Java

- is the engine 2D or 3D? I don't want a 3D game

- will they GPL the engine eventually? I don't support proprietary software.

If the game satisfies these conditions on release I will buy it otherwise they can go fuck themselves.

$250 for the signed copy and I think I gave around $100 to the Codex fund (not sure the exact amount). I've also pledged $125 to Shadowrun, $100 to Double Fine, and $150 to The Banner Saga! I'm a sucker for the cool collectibles. I have zero regrets and have not been this excited about PC gaming in a looooooooooong time!! I feel like I'm part of something... a new PC gaming renaissance and am enjoying the ride so far . If the games themselves are half as exciting then it has been money well spent. Heck, I've been a member here since 2006 but never posted much because there weren't many new games at all that interested me enough to post and you can only praise the oldies but goodies (Fallout, Planescape, System Shock, UU, etc.) so many times.

I want them to succeed, we need them to succeed so I'm willing to invest in that future which ironically involves bringing back the past!!

Disclaimer: This is pure speculation.
- does the engine run on a JVM? I refuse to use Java
I really, really doubt they would be using Java if they hope to make it cross-platform.

- is the engine 2D or 3D? I don't want a 3D game
Pretty sure it's going to be 3d fixed isometric perspective.
- will they GPL the engine eventually? I don't support proprietary software.
If they're licensing an engine -- which seems pretty likely at this point given their proposed dev. time -- then the odds of that are low to non-existent.

If these are your criteria for games then you must have a hard fucking time finding anything to play.

Insert Title Here Strap Yourselves In Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Divinity: Original Sin 2
Wanted a boxed copy but after importing swords from KWA and getting banged by Polish Customs and Post downgraded to 55; too much hassle for thing I can steal easy anyway... Plus 30 Jew gold for Shrine (and 2 years add free Codex). Didn't bought noone of AAA titles since TWitcher 2 So I made a good deal.... I hope. :smug:

All the interesting interviews and insights into the gaming industry, the start of the incline movement, plus seeing MCA involved on this and likely getting his own kickstarter, for me all of that already was worth the money.

$55 + $20 through Codex (Representin')

I'm generous, especially when it comes to people like Brian Fargo and Chris Avellone.
