Make the Codex Great Again! Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. I helped put crap in Monomyth
Really appreciate that this game is coming out when it's coming out, I generally tend to play Horror games throughout October and to have a horror RPG is fantastic. Will probably wait for codex impressions/release woes hotfixes but this will be a great October game.

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Codex Year of the Donut Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
So just say your game have lovecraftian themes and you never have to provide any closure.

"--And then they killed Cthulhu with dynamite and lived happily ever after."

I know you are joking, or I hope so at least. But this sentence:

but I have to state that we won't be solving all the mysteries at the end of this game. Going the other way would have spoiled some really good scenes, characters and situations for the sake of having just a closure. For better or for worse, I thought you needed to know that.

Nothing specific about some end game thing, just that any mystery that have popped up during the adventure might have a risk of go unsolved. Now I will play the game with that in mind, which in turn can ruin some of the experience. I don't know what mystery will be solved or not and that is some weird expectation to have going in. I wish he would never had said anything at all honestly. Worse than any spoilerish trailer to me.

That means you won't catch the Dismal Man!

I'm ready for a good horror RPG. Stygian will be incline. I think the next new game I play will be The Outer Worlds though. I might save Stygian and Disco for later in the year when nothing new is coming out...

the lack of enthusiasm for this game on the codex is sad. if it were an obsidian or cdpr hatchet job this thread would be 500 pages already

It's harmed I think by the non-traditional perspective and combat, as well as the admission that it'll only be 15-20 hours at most. Though it certainly appears to be more of a full-scale RPG than say Shadowrun Returns's original campaign.

Is there really a lack of enthusiasm here? I can’t tell with this fucking Star Control makeover.

The timing probably doesn’t help. Stygian launches the same day Encased goes into early access, dividing the Fallout nostalgia audience (with a further division when Paranoia comes out next week).

No Truce with the Disco releases in three weeks, dividing the storyfag audience. And anyone who might be distracted by shiny ARPGs has to run the Greedfall-Outer Worlds gauntlet.

Early access isn't that relevant to the majority of players, but I didn't knew Paranoia was close to getting published

Just 5 years ago I thought that video games are dead. Coming into 2020's and damn, you need a lot of time just to try so many good games.

I backed encased but am more looking forward to Stygian at the moment, simply because Encased is Early Access.. I'll probably poke around for a couple hours and check it out, but after that will play a complete experience like Stygian..
