    Northerners, northerners everywhere! :disgusting:

Northerners have genetic admixture from Viking raids here, Easteners have a lot from taking Slavic refugees after Wolgadeutsche were thrown out of the UDSSR. Apart from that Germany is fairly homogenic, but the Bavarians down south were historically a different tribe than the Saxons up north, unified with them in their hatred for Magyars.
A couple UI elements were concealed in the last screenshot. This is what happens when you actually have an external weapon and point in stealth. https://i.imgur.com/vC2Z8fP.png

Right side looks a lot better in full UI. The two weapon buttons are almost symmetrical now aswell.
What still needs work is the health, stamina, xp bar and event log. The boxes those are in clash really badly with the underlying boxes in the brownish main panel texture, and at the top even clip above it, giving the whole thing an unfinished look.
Please play a Druid in Solasta. The flaws the game had at release are all still there, but there's something weirdly satisfying in summoning two dire wolves and then turning into a bear to join them in battle.

If I replay it once day I will definitly field druids, the Druid spell list is my favourite spell list in 5e.
I played a Green Mage on my first run, summoning dire wolves and entangling foes is highly satisfying.
Lol just got wiped by Matador. Guess you’re supposed to be a bit higher than level 7.

Really really digging it for now. Got killed a few times already, and while the difficulty lowers now that I am kitted out with media and a few other nasty skills, it does not seem to fall off as hard as SMT IV (yet).
Work be cursed that I am only able to play it much on the weekends.

Which version of which Final Fantasy would be an ideal entry point for someone that loved Dragon Quest 1?
    Thac0
    Thac0
1 released the same time as DQ III, and has some of the same charm, but not being able to change class during the game cuts down on the flavor.

3 is much more advanced than 1, but there is not really a good version of it as the SNES version never got a proper port, and it introduces some JRPG tropes and streamlining which DQ III does not have.
    Thac0
    Thac0
5 is more normal JRPG than 1 and 3, but it has the best multi classing ever invented in JRPGs, and the default for tactical games to this day. As it is very easy in all versions version differences do not matter, unless you play difficulty mods.

That reminds me of some cursed shit I read today in Journey to the West. In the country of women there is a river with so much Yang energy that everyone who drinks from it immediatly becomes pregnant. That is the reason for why the country needs no men. If men however drink from the river they become pregnant aswell.
Finished SMTIV. It was pretty good, if a little boring setting/story wise. The gameplay is top-notch. I still don't get the notion that Naraku was way harder than everything else. The game had a pretty consistent challenge curve to it, I thought. The Hordes can hurt you even if you're a much higher level. I thought Pluto's dungeon was more challenging than Naraku for sure.

IV A has even better gameplay and even worse story/setting. My big hopes for SMT V are that it reaches the golden middle between III and IV when it comes to gameplay and story quality.
    dacencora
Agreed. Nocturne has really cool characters and a very cool setting. IV's gameplay is just a little better tuned. Very fun. I do want to try IV:A soon, but it'll probably be after I play V.
    Thac0
    Thac0
It seems that V has taken over the most important parts that IV A brings to the formula, so thats a sound plan.
I plan to drop everything for V aswell.
It's indeed intimidating since theres like 30 years of them, but ironblooded oprhan is a stand alone, so any watch order will work.
Watched Gundam 0080 War in the Pocket. Not what I expected, unsure what to think about it. It definitly made an impact.

I am a bit intimidated by the watch order, I plan to cross all the famous ones in some way or the other however.

No idea how to "get into" Gundam, so I'm just kind of avoiding it.

War in the Pocket is a 6 episode OVA, and Mr Pink recommended it as a good entry point, so I started there. Next I plan to watch the original 79 show, because that is a prerequisite for everything. After that idk tho.

Hey I gave YS a second chance. It is the fanbase's fault that most say I have to play this bumpy mess before Origins. I am genuinly enjoying my time running through wolves and shit tho.
