Is it going to be in episodes again? That shit turned me off the reboot Hitmans. I can't be bothered playing games where you spend more time on Steam page trying to figure out what to select than actually playing them.

Wow, fuck that for a laugh...

On the plus side, if I'm already waiting for it to come to Steam I may as well wait years for the whole lot to be on sale.

The Hitman games are good but not that good.

Steam version will presumably be better when it actually does come out as it'll have all the content in one package.

Yeah me too. I love Hitman series to death but i won't fucking shell out money for 3 missions per "game" and 99 misions which are just redo of same mission with different goals.

That being said it was probably something SE required of them. I really hope for next Hitman they will go with normal hitman rather than episodic. 3 was obviously in works when they were still with SE.

There's 5-6 maps per game, not 3, and they have a metric fuckton of replayability. If you don't think they're worth ~$10 each like a lot of people do, then wait for the sale bundle in a year.

Where's that IO dev that posts here? Fuck that degenerate and the whole studio.

Steamfags are the best.

Trully amazing number. Totaly not 3.

6 is double the content of 3. 100% seems like a pretty nice increase to me. Have you played these games? The levels are massive and even if you only care about the main story content there's plenty of reason to play them multiple times.

To play devil's advocate a bit (not gonna buy it on EGS though) IO being fully independent (in the sense that they're publishing it on their own) now at least gives them a bit of an excuse for needing as much financial backing as they can get since it's not like H2's general sales were very promising to begin with. Rather they just do it themselves than Square Enix or Warner frankly. Regardless though, guess this'll be the third time I wait for the modern games to drop $20... huh, guess I really did only pay $60 for the full thing in that case.

Dude, I spent so much time on every new mission in season 1 that I had to take breaks between them. Starting a new mission was like starting a new game for me. Season 3 is probably gonna be out on steam by the time I finish season 2, which I still haven't gotten around to starting yet. In fact I still have some shit left to do in season 1.

Well, guess IO can fuck right off then.

:rage:

Genuinely enraged by this decision, I am a huge fanboy of the Hitman reboot and this would have been a day one purchase. Now the only way I will play this will be on the High Seas. I hope IOI choke on all the Chinese semen they are currently guzzling down. FUCK them all and FUCK exclusives on PC. This is such a piece of shit move for all the people who supported HITMAN 1 and 2.

Deluxe edition is 75 quid, base is 52.

So for 23 quid extra you get:
- Some costumes
- A digital book
- Soundtrack
- Commentary from a director
- Some additional escalations

Doesn't really seem worth it, but with the base game costing more than 50 quid (!!) it seems like such comparatively good value that people will just go for the deluxe edition. Classic price gouging shenanigans.

As soon as Eidos was acquired by Square Enix it turned to shit. Hitman declined instantly with Absolution, those pseudo Deus-Ex games, awful Thief reboot. That would be three series burned into the ground of mediocrity, avarice and failure in the timespan of 10 years. Amazing.

At least Hitman still has a chance for one last good game. Here's to January 20th, 20-fucking-22.
