There are very few outright pro-vaxxers on the codex, or at least ones who post in that thread, so when you have a thread where there are tons of people who are vehemently anti-vax and only a few who are vehemently pro-vax, the pro-vax ones are individually going to be making a lot more posts if they don't want to be drowned out. That doesn't mean it's spam. HHR takes it to an insane extreme in responding constantly but it's still not spam.

A lot of useful information in that thread was only posted because HHR is there, because people were posting stuff to counter the information he posts. It's useful to have someone to argue against.

Everyone was already doing great arguing against HHR, the thread is already predominantly anti-vax. It's peak reddit/sjw behavior to not only be on the side with the majority advantage but then on top of that need a homosexual moderator to come in and ban the small opposing party. It would be different if he was posting this stuff constantly across multiple unrelated threads, but it's contained in that one thread (which he started), so you are free to ignore him, call him a faggot and move on, not look at the thread (since it's already proven in every possible way that vax and covid are fake), etc.

I don't have any solid stake in this argument either way, nor have I ever posted in the vaccine thread, but how do people take this sort of article seriously? It makes it sound like it was written by angsty young teenager copy+pasting garbage off Facebook and probably* ends by saying if you get the vaccine you're a big poopy doodoo head.

HHR has NOT technically been spamming that (his own) thread. That's not why he was banned from it. He was banned from it because when you've made your point here, that should be sufficient. There's nothing wrong with bolstering your position in an argument or debate here, but there comes a point when it's obvious that your mental defect -- whichever it is that HHR has (and let me make this clear: as evidenced by things most people here don't know about HHR, he clearly has some sort of psychological tic going on) -- is taking over and blatantly playing the equivalent of you sticking your fingers in your ears and saying, "Blah blah blah," for ONE THOUSAND PAGES, in order to not consider even one scintilla of evidence from "the other side", then something should be done.

What is that something that was done? HHR was banned from his thread for a week. Not permanently, he wasn't site banned, he wasn't even issued a warning. It's temporary, it's reasonable, and it's transparent. He'll get over it.

I've gotten 4 doses of Moderna vaccine, and I booked an appointment for a 5th dose in December, this time choosing the Pfizer one, because in Canada it has been updated to the BA4/5 strains, whereas Moderna is tailored to BA.1.

I'm not only talking the talk, but also walking the walk. I really believe it in.

I've still only had 3. I don't think getting the newer doses hurts and they will give you protection (especially if you're at risk), but I don't think it's as imperative as it was in previous strains. I've also still yet to get COVID-19, despite being exposed to it multiple times, so the 3 dose vax seems to be working fine.

If things change and there's a big surge this winter, I'll get a 4th dose. I'd probably even do one if I was at the doctor and they offered. Otherwise, I'm not really seeking it out yet.

I think what changes things is if you interact with vulnerable people, especially the elderly. Like my 90 year old grandma, there's no way I won't get every recommended booster to reduce the chances of me infecting her.

Or if you gather at Thanksgiving or Christmas, it's really recommended to get a booster, because you could unwittingly spread it and it could ultimately reach a vulnerable elderly person in your family.

Those who don't want boosters or vaccines should think of grandma.

That's just not true. First of all, you vastly overstate the amount of interaction between HHR and others in that thread. Most of the stuff he posts is so devoid of information that very few even bother to respond. He in turn rates every post critical of the COVID vaccines with facepalm but never points out what exactly is wrong. Second, HHR took long breaks from the thread and thread continued just fine in his absence. Third, I doubt that there is a single shred of (mis)information which HHR has posted in the thread over the last two years which wasn't part of the mainstream narrative at the time. HHR doesn't post information, he posts propaganda. He has been part of the global effort to silence dissenting voices and there is nothing even remotely positive about this.
