Personally, i think HHR is both disturbed and self-repressed. I further think he's come to enjoy a bit of self humilation, for reasons way more pathetic than i'd care to ponder on..
But that's his problem, not ours.
And this isn't necessarily about him.
If he really had posts removed simply because they annoyed the other retards due to being contrary to 'popular wisdom' and nothing more.. we have an issue here; and it's nothing to do with the poster.
And i'm saying 'if' for two reasons:
i) very common for mods to troll here, except.. very UNcommon for mods to know when to stop; that takes certain values some mods here just plainly lack. We often neglect to distinguish a mod's having fun with a poster's being made the village idiot for sheer public consumption.
ii) seen this again and again in the 'heated' megathreads; folks post an opinion and the other children get all butthurt; few pages after that we have a clique formed and all of a sudden the poster needs prove they're not an elephant; forever going forwards. Just because what do you know, against the grain in just the one subject. And given even a semblance of reason, it's usually pretty easy to differentiate between juvenile way of expressing one's self (but honest, personal opinion) and conscious trolling or antagonising.
But partly because it's mostly children here, partly because mods need to let some steam off now and then, this is often allowed or overlooked.
There is thick skin.
And then there's the absolute, total fucking loser, bottom of the barrel, that just plain doesn't care, will keep posting in the 'Dex no matter what.
This.. "fun" trolling is fun; the first few 5875562452 times.
Then all it does is result to what we have now, in terms of the majority of users. Past a point, you make it pointless for anyone with self respect to remain here.
We always had edgy folks around. Most of them however could also form some pretty fucking illuminated opinions on things. Like, they'd surprise you.
All i see now is bottom barell teenagers; as in the latter category.
This is what happens when you overdo the "panem et circenses".
