This is a thread where we can post our deepest, darkest secrets when it comes to CRPGs and other video games. Things you've been keeping to yourself, because you were afraid the people would call you not a TRV gamer if they found out, and follow you everywhere while ringing a bell and announcing "shame!".

Confess. *pours water on the floor of your dungeon cell*

I'll start:

I have never played a single second of any Mass Effect game, ever. Or Halo. Or Half-Life 2.

I've played Fallout 1 and 2. Once. Never replayed either one of them. Don't know why, I liked them a lot at the time, but never got back to them.

I think Temple of Elemental Boredom is shit.

I've played PS:T probably 4 or 5 times, always with the same class (mage) and major choices.

I've never played BG2: Throne of Bhaal. Just never got back to the game after finishing Shadows of Amn.

I've played about 10 minutes of Fallout: New Vegas, before I got bored and uninstalled it. Never touched a boob any Bethestard Fallout.

I started Gothic with the 2nd part, and when I went back to Gothic 1, I didn't like it nearly as much.

I've played Arcanum twice or thrice, but forgot most of the game's specifics. For comparison, still remember every detail of VTM:B.

Never had a complete playthrough of Morrowind. I've done just about everything the game has to offer, but in different incomplete playthroughs spread over many years. Also, never finished the Skyrim main quest, despite kind of intending to. Oblivion I uninstalled after about an hour and never touched again.

Oh, and my biggest shame. I *have* played a few games with a female protagonist, long ago. I even voluntarily played as a female sorceress in Neverwinter Nights, once (I think it was a fan-made module, or something). :negative:

I didn't like playing Fallout 1 and consider Fallout 2 Decline. The Bethesda cartoonishness is foundationed by Fallout 2.

I think Divinity Original Sin 1 is better than 2.

I prefer the Gameboy Advanced version of Eye of the Beholder.

I jacked off to a model of Nymph from Neverwinter Nights by looking at it in Aurora Toolset.
Specifically not the portrait,

but this

There's already a lot of threads about controversial opinions and triggering Codex with statements, step it up a notch or two, gamers.

I have thalassophobia and when I was a teenager I was very scared of going underwater in Morrowind, because the monsters spooked me. So I avoided going underwater at any cost.

If I was going from the Vivec region to Suran, I would make a 20 minutes detour just to avoid traversing shallow waters for only a few seconds. This is what it looked like on the map, going from A to B.

During my detour I was also spooked by some guars on the northern shore of Lake Amaya, because I was also a big wuss outside of water.

One day I decided to toughen up and cross the water at this very spot between A and B (it took only a few seconds). It was scary but it felt like a true accomplishment. My brain gave me an achievement for that.

I was also spooked in Icewind Dale. The yetis were scaring me so much because the first one you encounter is in Kuldahar, which was supposed to be a safe space for people like me, then each yeti in the Vale of Shadow triggers a sudden fight music when they spot you.

Reminds me a bit of how Mars Attacks absolutely horrified me as a kid. A good comedy movie gave me nightmares and panic attacks for far longer than is healthy

Well, so long as we're on the subject: I played Dragon Age: Origins with a nude mod. Didn't use it for porn or anything, just found it more... satisfying to be able to strip my character naked if I ever felt like it.

I think I know which mod you're talking about, I was disappointed with size of my noble Dwarf's cock.

While I completed Fallout 1 several times I never completed Fallout 2. First try I got stuck at some door that wouldn’t open (I remember checking a Gamesfaq guide and I was supposed to be able to open it), second try the game always crashed when travelling to that Enclave base (no idea what it’s name was).

Oh, and I didn’t finish Underrail due to restarting and trying different builds too many times….wait, maybe I could…*unzips pants and downloads Underrail*

I only finished Resident Evil 4 on easy difficulty, which means I missed some content that is only available on Normal+.

When playing Ultima 7 with Exult port I modified the source code to eliminate the hunger mechanic to avoid constantly feeding my characters.

I have never played any OG Fallout mods apart from Resurrection.

I have never defeated Diablo in the original game with a rogue.

Behind you.
I prefer the Gameboy Advanced version of Eye of the Beholder.
Eye of the Beholder is why I own a GBA. I'll do you one better. I think the Sega Genesis version of the Buck Rogers Gold Box game is the better one.

Going underwater in any game is scary.
I have never defeated Diablo in the original game with a rogue.
The Rogue is the easiest one!
I never liked System Shock 2, VtM:B, or Morrowind.
I didn't like System Shock 2, Deus Ex, and I'm not a fan of Gothic because I hated the combat. You'd be hard pressed to get me to like that kind of combat. I love Mount & Blade: Warbands, despite the combat.

I liked Kingdom of Amalur for some reason
Oh, god, so did I. And looking back at it I honestly can't figure out why. I just remember it being mildly enjoyable.

Other dark shames:

I bounced off the original Fallout three times. I do plan to finish it someday, Kif.

I have never completed any of the Troika games.
