Well, we now know a lot more of what went on behind the scenes due to what ex-bioware employees have said over the years.BioWare pretended to ignore the backlash but internally they acknowledged it and the ME3 endings backlash and tried to rectify it in DA:I.
From the outside, all that became notable early on was that devs became more timmid or absent with their responses as time went on. Around the time of DA2 you still had quite a lot of Bioware devs posting their "2 cents" on BSN, but that dropped to hardly any by the time ME3 swung around.
It's also very, and I do mean VERY, noticeable how people like 'David Gaider' completely changed tone over the past 10-15 years. If you ever want to see a corporate shill at work, just look up his BSN posts circa 2010 and his current opinion on things. Dude did a 180 on most things.
it always gave me the feeling that, whatever few Bioware devs were active on early BSN, they were just drinking and spewing the corporate propaganda. Once all the bullshit they were parroting started sinking in, or were fired, they all went quiet and changed their line.
