Greetings and salutations, friends and dear backers!

Today, we are very excited to share our final update before Swordhaven: Iron Conspiracy is released into Early Access.

This long-awaited milestone is scheduled for December 12, 2024, when the game will finally arrive on both Steam and GOG.

There is still a lot of work to be done before we achieve the desired build quality, and everything is continually being tweaked, updated, and bug-fixed to provide the best experience possible. Here are some of the features we are currently working on.

First of all, let's discuss the stealth mechanics. As you know from the demo, we aimed to make stealth a more active and influential system than in our previous games. Now, stealth includes the ability to see enemies' detection zones and features a covert strike mechanic that allows you to land the first blow in combat for double damage.

We've added many more diverse special encounters to the world map, including additional battles, hunting and foraging options, and text-based adventures. They not only serve as a distraction from your main goals in the game but also provide special items, experience, and loot.

New locations are also in the works. We have added an extra layer of polish to the background-specific dungeons and improved those that every player will encounter.

We have also introduced new mini-bosses and enhanced the existing enemies with new skill sets and animations to provide a better overall combat experience.

Ironing out kinks is as important as introducing new content, so we've improved several features of character creation. We also added new combat and mundane animations, weapons, armour, crafting recipes, and much more.

Backer-exclusive content is also being finalised, so prepare to use your special codes to unlock whatever special items that come with your reward!

See you on the 12th of December 2024!

I hate Slav accents.

Meh. The video didn't do anything for me. I liked ATOM RPG, but didn't care for Trudograd despite being more polished.

A perfect example of how not to advertise your video game.

While the narration is quaint and somewhat wholesome in a euroslavjank kind of way, I'm fairly sure this is one of the cases where AI-gen voices might come in handy. At first I thought I was watching some kind of reaction-to-the-trailer video or maybe a Counter-Strike twitch stream.

But other than that, the game looks cool.

Try the demo. This game has a lot of potential. It has a solid mechanical foundation. The combat is enjoyable and promises to get even better. I liked the exploration, the writing is decent, and the world feels authentic. The visuals have a bit of that vaguely "plastic" look, but this will improve. That aside, the demo just felt right. It's unmistakable incline once you play it.

I did. I don't think it did anything well. It was mid everywhere.

I guess at this point it's supposed to send a positive signal saying that the game is made by Eastern Euros, so it has somewhat complex gameplay with little console corruption and that it is independent so it is relatively less affected by woke.

Tbh that's just how I sound when I speak English. I can mimic US southern and British accents just fine, but then I'd just be sounding like I'm parodying, since I'm not really from those places. Speaking English like I'd speak Latgalian to my folks is the only way for me to not swallow any phonemes and make it generally understandable, unpleasant though it may be. We feel like AI would cheapen these trailers even more, but we might just end up getting a fiverr guy to narrate for bigger updates in the future.

Thanks man! Though even compared to what we have now in the editor, that demo looks like it'll age like fish! It's really heartwarming that some folks enjoyed it as it is, despite the lack of crucial stuff we now added, you'll be getting a really nice surprise once we release the updated version of the game!

In the end the game counts and not the trailer. At least it makes the impression you are advertising a honest product.

There's many people having beef with several types of vatniks and eastern europeans in this forum, so it might rub people the wrong way here. Also normies on steam might dismiss it as jank. Paying somebody 10€ on Fiverr could work.

I would say, in the end the quality of the game is what counts in times of the internet and unlimited sources of information.

For the target audience of the codex it obviously won't matter, but I think getting a good narrator for future trailers might give said trailers a more professional gloss.

The voice is silly (even if genuine) and gives the video and the game very unprofessional vibe. Unless someone takes it as attempt at humor which might work for few people but overall is, apparently, not intended. Personally I don't care (much) but, as evidenced by this thread, some people do.
I'm still moderately interested in the game - but not more than I was already.

Don't you people get it? Strong silly Slavic accent is just a reference to BG games. This is how one of the companions is going to sound like. Gives Edwin, Jaheira, Minsk vibes. Swordhaven is going to be the REAL BG3, mark my words.

I find your multi-year attempts at making a single 2D object in your "video game" at Codex Workshop laughable. Yet you love speaking authoritatively. LMAO. Your takes everywhere from Russo-Ukranian war to American Elections to video games are across board shallow, filled with butthurt, most of all envy and energy that can be found at r/mortismalgaming. If any account here belongs to Mortismal Gaming, it is yours. Your hatred for successes of big brain, long dick Slavs is disgusting. These Slavs have made not one, not two, but with this one it will be three good RPG while you still are stuck with making your .exe work. Your wife's cock sucking techniques are mid

I wish every Westerner who hates Slavs, from Czechs to Serbs to Poles/Russians, painful death. I wish thousand Africans to fuck him, make them suck then receive a punch, suck/punch/suck/punch-punch-punch. You do not deserve Trump as president and you most definetly don't deserve any other RPG but to be fucked in ass by bear in your Baldur's Gay 3. Eternal shame upon you

Game looks good and keeps looking better tho! It has this Gothic meets early Baldur's Gates vibe which is excellent mix. Voiceover in this 1min update is intended for backers and hardcore fans, I have no doubt they will employ someone on Fiverr or AI agent when it comes to promo material. This is short and simple game dev update. Not promo. Not suprising that retarded butthurt part of West can't tell a difference, they can't tell difference between man and woman, chicken and raptor. Glad game will have raptors!
