35 fucking gigs, ugh.

I know, that seems kind of ridiculous. That would mean it will take up, what, about 7 DVDs worth of space?

That must be the impeccable uncompressed Audio. Or Textures. I suppose the Steam download should be half of that size.

DVDs? Do they still manufacture those for games?

They are static just like in Dead Space 2 or any other game, except they have a set killzone in which you die until you figure out the correct path through the area.

It's a jarring throwback to trial-and-error gameplay of old, minus any fun mechanics that would make it worthwhile.

Don't you mean games like King's Quest?

If anything, it's gonna be more like Dragon's Lair, but slower and with illusion of interactivity.

Xbone and PS4 discs are shipped on blu rays, PC still uses DVDs, I guess because too many people refuse to upgrade, largely because optical storage is kinda deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeead in the US.

So... the game not only has guns, but a revolver, which should be powerful enough to punch through the xeno's tough silicate skin... and yet the Alien is considered invulnerable?

In terms of *just* Alien that makes sense, but when the rest of the franchise is taken into account it's kinda :retarded:.

It's a thin-skinned Tumblrite alien. You can probably give it PTSD by talking about its triggers.

Well thats just a scripted sequence video, gameplay videos so far shown no weapons ... no reason to believe you have access to then for the majority of the game if at all.

Also a interesting piece of trivia, the Nostromo crew was actually armed with laser pistols.

access to weapons has been mentioned rather consistently from what i recall, both the revolver and the flamethrower... just that for the most part they are fancy ways of committing suicide.

Wait, Dragon's Lair had interactivity?

Of course. You could either press the correct buttons or not press them, and the outcome would change. Kind of like Heavy Rain, really.

You guys remember this "feature" from Colonial Marines? Who wants to guess what song the Alien will be dancing to in Isolation?
