Any good metroidvania recommendations?

If you're in the market for a semi-metroidvania along the lines of Muramasa The Demon blade, then this is your ticket.

There's a second player character that you can choose at the start that the trailer doesn't show, this fellow's sister who has a polearm.

What’s the consensus on Grime? I picked it up and just reached Lithic. So far it seems fine, but perhaps overly-reliant on the counter/parry mechanic which just seems to trump everything. The art-style is also weirdly, distinctly… prosperous. Not necessarily the worst thing if played for laughs, but… ah, yeah.

Playing Assbuddies right now. Pretty solid MV, I'd give it a 7/10. Biggest downside is the map.

Anyone here tried this one, is it at all worthwhile? It was in one of monthly Humble Choice bundles so it can be found for cheap on key reselling sites.

Artstyle looks cutesy enough, it looks like it cold be based off early Fleisher-inspired japanese toons like this

Yeah, Haiku is fun but the creator of it may have been too much in love with Hollow Knight, I feel like the game constantly reminds me of HK and it's just not in the same class

Also much, much easier than HK

Been playing this game made by the same people who made "Deedlit in wonder labyrinth" and if you liked that game, you'll this one. You play as some cutesy animu maid that stops time and throws knives and what's not to like about that?

Oh and like Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth, the player character runs like Alucard from SOTN, so there's that too.

Recently been playing through "Infernax" which is a modern and gorier take on Castlevania II Simon's Quest (complete with day and night transitions!) and it's pretty dope. There's various good and evil decisions to make too.

Playing this right now, they've totally nailed the style of "cool sega/snes game". Tha platforming parts make me crazy.

There's a Simon's Quest easter egg in this too.

I fell for this without knowing about it (did play CV2 back in the day) and laughed out loud when it happened.

Anyone here can recommend good metroidvania games with challenging platforming sections? Precisely metroidvanias, please, not interested in the traditional castlevanias or clones thereof, and not interested in pure platformers.

All the negative reviews of "Aeterna Noctis" are people bitching about the hard platforming. The devs even added an alternative mode of play with easier platforming because of it.
