Are Harpers woke?

I am not sure they are woke. They do hold old school liberal views such as environmentalism, but other than that I don't see any wokeness. I am talking AD&D 2E.

Never know how to respond to @my calculator's posts. But for what it's worth, I remember Ed Greenwood being very woke about Mishena (name?) in SOD and then kinda walking back the comments a bit in a further post.

But I always thought David Gaider wrote the Harpers well in BG2. He was well ahead of his time in terms of how people can manipulate the system under the guise of doing good.
