Pirated Dragon Age 3 and quit disgusted after 10 minutes and noticing that even the top down/isometric view was now shit and you basically couldn't even control your group anymore.
Didn't it take over a year to break DAI's denuvo? You didn't already know these basic facts about the game after you waited a year to "pirate" it?

My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.
Voted no, because it looks like shit and I don't want to reward Bioware for shitty games or focusing on the message.

True, which is exactly why it DID make you want to see the rest. Because it was good, and you hoped the next one will be even better.

Why was a game that consisted of ~30 hours of trash mobs good? lol
I don't know maybe because some people prefer shorter games? I know a lot of Codexers expected it to be a spiritual successor to BG2, so I can understand why they were disappointed when the game didn't have 70 hours worth of trash mobs to kill.

People found a way to bypass the DRM a few weeks after the game's launch, but a proper crack that recomplied the .exe and removed the antipiracy protection came out much later.

I don't think it took a year in this case. And yeah I am an old guy who can wait to pirate a game and not some kiddy that has to get it immediately.

Hell, I even wait a year to buy a game I am interested in nowadays.

And I basically knew at that time that it basically was shit. But you should always form your own opinion if possible.

A rule that I will overlook in the case of Veilguard.

DAI was playable pirated very quickly but back then there was actually enough interest for someone to do the work. I doubt its the case with Veilguard.

The only Dragon Age game that I've played was Dragon Age: Inquisition. The year was 2014, I just got out of prison, I didn't have a PC but I bought a PS3. Not too many RPGs there, so I bought Dragon Age: Inquisition. It was one of the worst experiences ever. It was much worse than solitary confinement. I will never ever play another Dragon Age game, I'd literally rather die.

I'm honestly a bit confused at the people here claiming they'd play it if they can get it for free despite knowing it will be terrible. Have you no other games to play or books to read that you'd rather waste your time on a subpar experience?
I'm sure some of you are even say, Jrpg haters, but it would make more sense to me to try an RPG in a sub-genre you normally would not play rather than waste 60+ hours on this. For example, I despise Real-Time blobbers and I'd buy and play one of those before even thinking of loading this up.

I guess it's subjective but I don't think BG2 had 70 hours of trash mobs.

There are too many games and too little time. The only positive Bioware's decadence has, for me, is that the decision is easy to make, and their games are easy to write off. My backlog is thankful for that. Good night, sweet prince.

Nope.

Dragon Age: Origins wasn't perfect but it was a much deeper and bolder game than any of the subsequent entries. Everything I have seen of the upcoming entry has been repulsive.

I like DA:O, it's good and the last good BioWare game. God knows why I bought(even with a big discount) and finished DA2. Bought DA:I but twice couldn't get myself to play it after a prologue, I think I've learned my lesson with BioWare. Veilguard is gonna be shit, extremely woke and trannified game.

I was disappointed with the Jade Empire, it was their first in-house IP, too short and limited and missed opportunity.
It still wasn't a clear sign that Bioware is declining.
Mass Effect muddied the water a bit - I'm a sucker for SF RPG's, so I tolerated bunch of crap it was loaded with.

Then came Dragon Age: Origins.
It really rubbed me the wrong way - combat, characters, story - never finished it.
Then they made Dragon Age 2, which I played for an hour or so before I turned it off and uninstalled it.
I couldn't believe how bad it was, and Bioware finally lost their credit for me.
I skipped SW: Old Republic and stopped playing Bioware games altogether.

So, there is no love lost between me and Dragon Age.

Uhhhh.

Maybe eventually on a whim when it is $5, but other than that it barely exists to me.

I think that equivocates to a "no."

I only played the first one, and thought it was alright. Although, it's been a long time since and I don't remember much of it. Didn't even touch the sequels, and I'll certainly not touch this garbage. I've stopped playing any modern sequels, or new games, from poisoned development studios. Why subject myself to it? Dropped Mass Effect after the second game, when it was made clear that they intended to keep making it worse. Before that I had foolishly hoped that Bioware would take the solid universe they had made and improve the role playing.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I still have trash mob PTSD from the first Dragon Age.
I only played DA2 for about half an hour with a pirated copy because it promised barefoot elf girls, but pretty much the first combat encounter in the game made me drop it instantly. Enemies spawn IN WAVES!! I still felt drained by the first game's trash mob spam so I simply couldn't force myself through it.
I never had the slightest interest in trying out DA3, especially when reviews mentioned that it feels very much like a single player MMO with most content being boring filler.

I have no reason to believe that DA4 is going to improve on any of this. Its gameplay will be 99% boring filler to slog through. Tedious gameplay is so detrimental to enjoyment, I wouldn't even be able to laugh at all the tranny shit in the game. I would just feel miserable from having to deal with so much boring filler content.

Therefore, I won't play DA4, just like I haven't played DA3, and haven't played DA2 past 30 minutes.
