You know, all this desperation to downplay Yasuke makes me believe that Ubisoft is genuinely afraid of Yasuke backlash specifically, and the delays were to change his content as much as possible, not to fix the game because it's about as good as Outlaws. That would mean that we're winning the culture war.

Probably not, unlike syndicate, some missions in shadows are tied specifically to one character. Apparently chapter one of shadows focuses heavily on Yasuke. Changing all that would require gutting the game and rebuilding it.
