  • I tried to open a third treasure chest, and was told I needed to upgrade Arno’s lockpicking skill.
The horror.

  • I upgraded Arno’s lockpicking skill, and was told my skill level still wasn’t high enough to open that chest. I gave up.
Of course you did.

I bet your parents had to press the Awesome button for your spermatozoon to reach the ovum, as well.

A horse of course

Metacritic user reviews for the console versions say this thing runs around 20FPS (both PS4 and XB1) and is so buggy that it's nearly unplayable.

God I love a good fiasco.

I dont mind questionable design decisions be it more streamlined or more complex mechanics.
Everything seems more complex now, even combat that was piss easy in Black Flag. No regen health or warnings that you're gonna die, you let through one combo or have the guy shoot you and you're dead.
I was even suprised that there was a jump puzzle (easy tho) on one of the first missions.
Having to sneak past the guards at the party was also p fun and was more challenging than the whole of Black Flag managed to be.
So I'm not complaining about gameplay.

Ubisoft stuffing in loads of pointless shit on top of a unstable game is something that should be called out. Adding micro transactions and other bullshit instead of fixing the core game is a low blow and they deserve every low rating they get.

It's because 21FPS is more cinematic.

What a fucking trainwreck. It's Assassin's Creed III all over again.

lol@people who keep giving money to Ubisoft. It wouldn't surprise me if future installments of Ubisoft the Game shipped with free lube.

Ubisoft said today that it is seeking to take Windows PC gaming way more seriously, as the platform continues to make gains against rivals.

With a notorious anti-piracy system in its past, and a habit of releasing PC versions of games after console versions, Ubisoft has faced its share of criticism from PC gamers. But the company said today it is seeking to focus more on the needs of PC gamers, through simplified DRM activation and a greater commitment to multi-platform releases.

"We listen to feedback from players and continue to adapt accordingly," said European boss Alain Corre in an interview with MCV. "For instance, we switched to a simple, one-time activation for our PC games; a standard practice in the industry. We're also doing our best to bring our games to PC at the same time as the console versions."

Assassin's Creed Unity and Far Cry 4 (pictured) will be released simultaneously on console and PC, on Oct. 28 and Nov. 18 respectively. Although PC versions of big Ubisoft games have been released alongside console versions in the past, they have tended to trail weeks and even months behind.

Corre said that Windows PC gaming had increased its share of the company's revenues, growing from 11 percent in 2013 to 15 percent this year.

"We recognise the importance and needs of PC gamers, and want to continue to improve how we create and support games for PC," he said. "We are committed to improving the optimisation of our games for each platform on which they're released, including PC."

well if you have 980 latest nvidia powerfucker you will still get those 20s :troll:

Honestly imo people are dumbfucks. First they want next-gen ! better graphics ! then they realize this means even best hardware will choke and then people accuse devs of "shitty optimisation !"

Unity is second Crysis all over again (- bugs) performance wise. It looks absolutely mindblowing on max but you need hardware from next 2-3 years to play it at locked 60.

Mark my words. This is will be the same with Star Citizent.

Yet some people will defend that crap because its "optional". Who would think back in day that expansion pack would evolve into something like that. I can throw few bucks into decent f2p but 60 bucks in shop, then dlc, seasons passes, micro transactions, codes from mountain dew? How far it can go?

I find it amusing how almost all gaming websites failed to mention this minor detail.

Yet another example of Totally Not Corrupt Professional Objective Gaming Journalism.

Yeh they are really applying for the "asshole of the month" award aren't they

I hope that this one time this does backfire for the publisher but I don't really believe it :/

Obviously Ubisoft had the microtransactions and companion app stuff disabled in the review versions:

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=931099
Sounds similar to Garden Warfare. Reviewers praised game for lack of micro transactions. Later it was patched in. For example someone from Kotaku thanked for that since unlocking stuff in normal way took too long. :retarded:

Haha people actually are thankful when they can pay real money to shortcut the game?! On top of having paid for the base game of course?!!

Sometimes I get the feeling that people sell their brains when they buy a game

Well or maybe they never had a working brain to begin with dunno
