50gb of uncompressed localization into Swahili and Khazak
games are 4k and everything is voiced in multiple languages. also devs dont care about optimizations coz they dont have to.I haven't played many AAA games since 2010, where games were max 20GBs; so you can tell that I live in a cave... but fucking 158GBs is ridicilous even for today. What did they improved in these 158,000 megabytes; better AI than F.E.A.R.? Better sound design than Thief? Better map layout than Blood? Better third person movement than POP : Sands of Time? All they "improved" is textures and special effects to attract normies whose brain age is approximately 3-5 years old.You forgot to tell them how big the download was... 158 GBs.

It is not.Setting aside the obvious Ubisoft moments of incloosiveness and pink unicorn cosmetic packs, I still believe wholeheartedly that Valhalla is a great game through and through.
I didn't know vikings used to speak polish. Finally, after 183 hours and 4,5 months, I managed to complete this motherfucker.
It was trying my patience but also managed to surprise me with some cool quests and emotional moments. And it's pretty fucking beautiful, with some great art design. My inner graphics whore is sated for 2-3 months.
It's pretty when you're sailing...
...and when you take a ride with friends.
It's even pretty in old ass dungeons,
And long-forgotten temples.
The forests can be idyllic...
...or fucking eerie.
The climate can kill you...
...but there is hope for some warmth and mead in the distance.
Sometimes it resembles Elden Ring...
Yeah, a lot.
But there are moments of genuine relaxation and sweetness.
And romances.
If you want, there're lots and lots of opportunities for these.
Some other adventures I've had:
Me and my homies sailing through the night to wreck a Saxon fortress in the distance.
Admiring the ruins of Roman architecture.
Strolling along the end of the world - Hardian's Wall.
Making friends...
...and bidding them farewell...
...quite often in fact.
I've never liked Paris anyway.
Calling my friends to party!
And now we're interrupting the show for some mandatory gay propaganda.
I didn't know vikings used to speak polish.
It's probably the other way around, marketing decides which character is "canon", the devs are all freaks and degenerates but they have no control over such things. Is this another AC where the marketing department forced the developer to add a male character option and the butthurt developers made the female option 'canon'?
I think neither version of Eivor is 'canon', but taking into account the character of norse culture, female option is less jarring than Kassandra pretending to be a female 'Spartan mercenary' in classical Hellas. Is this another AC where the marketing department forced the developer to add a male character option and the butthurt developers made the female option 'canon'?
I don't care at all what they consider "canon" since I don't gaf about AC canon.I think neither version of Eivor is 'canon', but taking into account the character of norse culture, female option is less jarring than Kassandra pretending to be a female 'Spartan mercenary' in classical Hellas. Is this another AC where the marketing department forced the developer to add a male character option and the butthurt developers made the female option 'canon'?
looks like modded skyrim, but shitty. Finally, after 183 hours and 4,5 months, I managed to complete this motherfucker.

Both scenarios are equally jarring. A case could be made if a Norse village was attacked women grabbed swords and shields and jumped into the meat grinder with their men, as a desperate last resort, but the idea they were going on raids (going viking) is just as absurd as female generals of the Spartan army.I think neither version of Eivor is 'canon', but taking into account the character of norse culture, female option is less jarring than Kassandra pretending to be a female 'Spartan mercenary' in classical Hellas.
People who can actually play a female viking or an ancient Greek mercenary without a dent in their enjoyment have been severely damaged by the currentyear culture and are no longer useful members of the society.
Play Odyssey as whichever character you want, it doesn't change the game at all.
AC is fantasy, those people who think it is a history-sim have been severely damaged by the currentyear culture and are no longer useful members of society.People who can actually play a female viking or an ancient Greek mercenary without a dent in their enjoyment have been severely damaged by the currentyear culture and are no longer useful members of the society.
What's your verdict on this pos plus its expansions? Also were there some "WE WUZ" moments with zulu vikings? Finally, after 183 hours and 4,5 months, I managed to complete this motherfucker.
It's a very uneven game. There are moments of genuine greatness (a well-crafted quest here, some decently written dialogue there, and very good Dawn of Ragnarok dlc), but a large part of the game is just more Ubisoft AssCreed mass-produced banality. I played it mostly because there are few RPGs in quasi-historical settings. And also , because I've recently bought a new desktop and wanted to experience the high production values. Fortunately, the current-day narrative was very limited, so I didn't have to spend too much time outside of Animus. What's your verdict on this pos plus its expansions? Baldur's Gate is fantasy too, doesn't mean it'd be okily dokily to have an option to recruit a purple haired queer antifa feminist spouting about Marx all the time into your party.AC is fantasy, those people who think it is a history-sim have been severely damaged by the currentyear culture and are no longer useful members of society.People who can actually play a female viking or an ancient Greek mercenary without a dent in their enjoyment have been severely damaged by the currentyear culture and are no longer useful members of the society.
I agree. We had that in DAI, not in BG, but it wasn't ok at all.Baldur's Gate is fantasy too, doesn't mean it'd be okily dokily to have an option to recruit a purple haired queer antifa feminist spouting about Marx all the time into your party.
I don't recall any female Greek generals in Odyssey. Obviously a huge game and I have not seen every single part of it, but was there a female Greek general in it?Shit like female Greek generals and female vikings move the game away from what it could've been deeper and deeper into the dumb, popamole muck, that was my point.
Yes, the MC is canonically a woman, again, despite the fact the vast majority of players chose the male protagonist. Also the samurai for their Japan game is a woman and the shinobi is a black man.Is this another AC where the marketing department forced the developer to add a male character option and the butthurt developers made the female option 'canon'?
It's fine tho because it's fantasy you see.Yes, the MC is canonically a woman, again, despite the fact the vast majority of players chose the male protagonist. "despite being ~0% of feudal japan population"and the shinobi is a black man.
There's fantasy and then there's your imagination, so where was the female Greek general? In the game or only in your imagination? It's fine tho because it's fantasy you see.Yes, the MC is canonically a woman, again, despite the fact the vast majority of players chose the male protagonist.
