I have a minor suggestion to add.

I've attached a flashligt to my machine gun, and the flashlight is always on.

I would suggest that the flashlight would be on only during combat because otherwise, running around with it on around the town is a little jarring. :)

Love Trudograd so far. I am playing with Militia/Міліція. I have a quest to prevent riot. I persuaded two rioters. And can't deal with third one. I have to talk to his wife but can't enter her house. What am I doing wrong?

You're probably trying to enter the wrong house. Sure tried every other building around/the wife is there?

Atomboy looks like you have some labels missing in the Cold Floodplain location

Also looks like Meaning of Life is bugged:
I have a roll of toilet paper, a devil's weed (in matchbox), and a bottle of gasoline (not diesel), but still don't see the option to give items to the old duded.

Damn, sorry, we'll fix that.
On meaning of life: I know people who completed it fully. Probably we forgot to add some bottle type as a valid bottle type for the quest. What bottle are you using? Plastic or glass? Would it work with other bottle? Can only do check tomorrow, will fix ASAP if indeed broken for some bottle type.

To make your life easier, here's what I have in the inventory (that I think is needed to solve the quest), and what options I get when talking to the old dude:

how does shields work in this game?

I have a shield equipped but the damage resistance and damage threshold stay the same, as before equipping it

the only thing that changes is a drop in dodge

So I finally beat the Bombagun grandmaster
near the belyashi kiosk
Was he supposed to be so hard? I always failed the luck check to go first despite having 11 luck, and this motherfucker got Turnip Remberance Day EVERY GODDAMN GAME, as well as a number of low requirement attack cards and armour cards whenever I managed to get him down to something low.

Also, today was the day that I learnt that the English for беляш is peremech. Whoddathunkit?

Start combat with it and you'll see there's an arc which shows where it works, exactly. If you use it with 1-hand weapon it'll be in the front and with 2 hand, it'll be on the back.

Iron shield is absolutely insane at the start, especially for in-door fights.

Is there anything you can do with the rock with the hole on Skull Island?
I have tried interacting with it under shrooms, playing flute around it, having weird doll in the inventory, holding the trident of fish people when interacting, dropping the weird doll in front of it.

AKM* full of bullets, bayonet, 2 bottles of vodka in backpack and fur cap on my head, ready and willing to save the Motherland from the cosmic Fascist invader threat.

*Best Version of AK if you need to hunt some deer in post-apocalyptic tundra good stopping power which means you wont need to track the wounded animal for hours, AK-74 is better when you need to shoot in auto-mode though lot less recoil from 5.45 mm.

Also bought two supporter packs the devs do support our support Comrades.

so the shield bonuses for damage threshold and damage resistance % don't show anywhere on character screen or inventory screen?
where is this info displayed?

The problem is that I've played too many bugged games where if an item bonus didn't showed up on character screen or elsewhere, that meant that the bonus didn't applied because of a bug.

I've seen the arc, I deduced that green zone is where the shield gives protection, but I didn't perceived a damage reduction while using it and when being hit in melee or shot at. (maybe because I have the most basic shield with only 7% damage reduction?)

The thing is that this shield mechanic info is too obscure and nowhere explained/displayed.

And what I also know is that the shield mechanic in first ATOM was bugged when I played the game.

Hey dude, I swear, the Meaning of Life quest is working as intended. Where did you get that fuel? Did you by any chance ordered it via console using the ID:fuel instead of ID:petrol ? Because the first one is a dummy not used for anything in the game. If it's not too much of a bother could you send me your save file to support@atomrpg.com ? I'm still looking for ways to get your bug but I don't.

Why does my character suck at Bombagun so much?
I think Bombagun is 100% player skill. So, you know, I have some bad news for you bro...
True but not for GMs.

So I finally beat the Bombagun grandmaster

I also only learnt that беляш fact recently. I still don't know if that's the same беляш. On grandmasters: they have a harder AI version, they count cards making longer chains of decision like a chess AI, but they also have their chance of getting a better starting lineup increased. There's no way for you to increase it. Just survive their first few turns! Bombagun difficulty is a huge thorn in our side. When I made it everyone started playing it instead of working, and we added local multiplayer for it (which later turned into an android app) and played one another, so we became really good, then one after another we learned to count cards and predict what the opponent will play. When the app became public knowledge, we all soon got a 2300+ Elo rating which equates to chess grandmaster but in Bombagun. Then someone made the Hard AI and we started destroying it utterly, so as a last ditch effort we made it have a better hand to create a challenge. But now, more and more, it turns out that this was overkill for an average player. Might get patched. But this is only for Grandmasters, the rules are completely equal for all other NPCs.

Why doesn't pickpocketing sleeping people give XP?
Will take a look!Thanks!

I ended up installing it anyway and found that there was cloud saving and they were there. I'll start the expansion soon.

Same here, but the expansion specifies the final save has to be in the final room. My cloud saves were from the last Dead City expansion from the looks of them, so I'll have to truck over and have that final encounter before transferring.

It's too obscure, yeah. I'm pretty sure it was reflected at stats in the OG but due to *invisible* arc people thought it doesn't always work. Now it's the other way around.

By the way, shields were OP as fuck in the OG hence the nerf of related perks. But then apparentely they shifted their focus on PA rightfully beleiving that most players will go for it so they pretty much ditched shields minus aforementioned change.

Regarding whether they work now or not I'm 100% positive they do, just get your hands on the iron one and you'll see yourself (something like 17 threshold is no joke).
Might get patched. But this is only for Grandmasters, the rules are completely equal for all other NPCs.
Eh, just tie that to the overall difficulty and change its description a bit. I beat grandmasters and it was fairly easy except for the bum one due to my lack of experience and due to whether bug or idk, he kept winning the coinflip agaisnt my 11 luck and playing as the second is way harder. There's almost no cards which do something + shields therefore obliteration of the opponent seems the only viable tactic - that's my initial feedback.

I just went out to try and find a belyash cause I really wanted one after playing Trudograd and couldn't find one anywhere. Literally wandered the city for an hour trying to find a glorious lil' meaty pie and couldn't get one anywhere, just soggy looking samsas. GODDAMN GLOBOHOMO DESTROYING OUR GLORIOUS SOVIET TRADITIONS.

Anyway, about Bombagun. Are the other Grandmasters any easier? I've already deafeted the one in
Second Tier
who seemed much easier. I really don't want to seriously suggest that you dumb your game down for me (git gud, AMIRITE?) but I almost ragequit a few times cause of Mr Peremech. I already savescummed a few times just so I could gloriously murder him in different ways.

By the way, are there other normal non-GM players? So far the only one I've found is the guy in the hotel.
