Haha, now that's ugly. I guess it's some incentive to get a matching set.

Hey, you can buy dyes and color your equipment any way you want :smug:

I have no idea what people like Whisper get out of trolling game threads like this. It's not like you're going to sway people into not buying the game, and the people that bought it already know about the points you bring up. What joy do you get out of it?

Sitting there on the Battle.net forums all day, reading every topic and complaint and then gleefully running to this thread to report on it, how cool. Guess what: the people actually playing the game are probably having a lot more fun than you are. It's bad enough to be a fan of a game and post endlessly on internet forums about it, but it's another thing entirely to not play the game at all and do the same thing.

I thought Skyrim was a pile of disappointing shit, but I voiced my opinion and left it at that. I would have to be fucked up to respond to the Skyrim thread for months on end talking about how much I hate it.

To all the people who haven't played the game and are gawking at Zed's Barbie: There are items in the game called Dyes that let you colour any item any colour you want, and Dye Removers that are self-explanatory. If he wanted to troll you guys, it sure worked.

It looks stupid with or without the dyes.

Well, there are invisible dyes to hide your equipment too.

I'm just pointing out why that dude looked like he lost a paintball fight. Considering 100% of the complaints about the screenshot were about the colours at that point, it seemed appropriate. The spikes and stuff do look horribad, but if you think the rainbows don't make it worse you're blind.

Come on, man, this is the Codex. There's a 250+ page thread solely used for mocking Bioware and Mass Effect in GG. Mocking games and game developers is what we do. Cause it's fun. Why would Blizzard and D3 be exempt from this, given how easy of a target they've made themselves?

They do, but even without them it's already quite horrible.

How come? I've always found you one of the most reasonable and polite posters around....
I basically told people to not buy Puzzle Quest 2 after saying that the design is utter shit and just grindy rather than fun (basically the fact that the AI can get massive combos pretty much at will, and yet the developers claim it doesn't cheat... complete fucking bullshit). I guess I upset the developers, poor tender souls that they are.

I'd wear that, too bad Diablo 3 doesn't have a huge player hub where you can AFK on your epic mount as noobs gaze at your rainbow glory.

Btw. found this older article about how Diablo III could've looked like if it was developed under Blizzard North back in 2005 and they didn't close the studio (obvious Alpha shots with unfinished renderer and UI placeholders though it does have the classic Diablo 1+2 "gothic" aesthetic to it instead of the shit cartoon style): http://kotaku.com/5761172/this-is-what-diablo-iii-looked-like-a-long-time-ago/gallery/

Also, there's finally some proper gaming journalism around this title :p

And yet, all these gripes, all these issues, I’d likely have just clicked past were the game not so woefully and deliberately broken. It’s fascinating to realise just how important the spell is to Diablo, and quite how damaging it is to have it broken. What’s revealed is a hollow game, that in no way fills in the gaps with the frankly abysmal writing. Of the three companions so far, none is even tolerable, and my monk is a sanctimonious moron. My NPC accompaniment repeat their lacklustre lines of nothingness with the sadness of a dementia patient, half the time talking at the same time as a book I’m reading. And as I face repeating the same damned map for a third time, watching my characters stagger about trapped in lag despite my strong, steady internet connection, I just start thinking about Grim Dawn and Torchlight II, and how much I can’t wait to see what they add to the genre. Because as far as I can tell Diablo III, as fun as it is when the spell lasts, has added little more than wantonly stupid DRM.

Especially Forbes ftw again, seemed to have the best coverage for this game also xD

Indeed what a waste, not hurting as much than the baldur's gate 3 cover and screenshots, but still...
