(If only Sins of a Solar Empire was as cool as Homeworld, but maybe once the Thursday comes this mod will fix it)
For the first time in its History, South America sent men to space on their own shuttles. And for critically useful purposes rather than just for show and prestige
Libertadores cooperatives take a small great step to the future in the start of a commercial spaceport in the former Alcantara Launch Center.
Shuttles and supplies get to space for further steps towards the Space Age.
One image that seemed impossible to ever have been imagined by any Brazilian, Argentinian, Bolivian, Chilean or inhabitant of South America has just been shot. Several South-American cosmonauts have been trained in this decade already in preparation for this moment, the chance of going farther than any country in this continent other than the imperialist heart itself has gone. With the reform of the Alcantara Launch Center into a fully able spaceport, Launches are now happening daily with more and more cosmonauts going into orbit while the mass driver installed near Manaus is lifting an increasing amount of materials.
There is no doubt on what this project is about. Although the spaceport was primarily done by the federations of cooperatives, the flights scheduled so far have been mostly done by the new Libertadores Space Force branch of the military. It is a matter of time now for the first spacecrafts under the red banner to fly over space and start up a new age for the workers of the world. Alvaro Aldorno have ensured that "The Libertadores will have an operational spaceyard soon." instead of not giving any declarations on what is already clear.
The entire space program has not been without incident, or more exactly, sabotage attempts by counter-revolutionary and imperialistic forces, but thanks to the determined and dilligent "Operation Flush", all the lapdogs of those who sought to crush the dream, to eternally oppress the people while lining their pockets, were put in their place, and the only place for sell-outs, for those ready to betray their nation and their people for some bribes, is death. All attempts to sabotage the space program, which during the previous decade was once sabotaged successfully, leading to the death of many great minds, have now been crushed.
It is clear now that the next decade will be a decisive one in the struggle. The militarization of space is now an inevitability as the imperialist puppet UN was finally seen as the pathetic joke and failure it is. However, the people must always be vigilant, for it was exactly the militarization of the 1917 Russian Revolution that allowed for ruthless tyrants and murderers like Stalin and Lenin to corrupt the ideals of true socialism, and under no circumstances should the peoples of South America bow down to any kind of oppressive laws given in the name of "national security", even if such laws would theoretically reduce the vulnerability of such important steps to sabotage by traitors and imperialist spies. For better or worse, South America will now face many challenges ahead, and both the dangers of outside imperialism and of internal threats of totalitarianism should unsavory types gain too much influence over the military, specially in the new Space Force.
