I think a big problem is that so many of them these days are Twitter mush brains. The character limit and endless retarded flame war have been a disaster for the mental health and attention spans of that demographic of tech savy nerd who gets into a field like game dev.

Twitter ended up working very well for a drop-out like Kurvitz. I believe these MFA midwits would be bad with or without twitter.

Seeing how The Outer Worlds was directed by Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky (also a lead writer) I wouldn't pretend that having been at Black Isle means they're going to be a decent developer.

that really depends on what background you have in games - if you're a normie without a clue, then sure, it's awesome.

if you've played fallout or any other old rpg then you know it's just oblivion with guns and mere shallow surface level references to the other games and their worldbuilding
