Lifeless is not at all how I would describe the art direction in this game.

Maybe they're betting people will forget in the 2+ months before the game releases.

Can't wait for Awoked to flop and make someone at Microshit finally notice that they had acquired Obshitian for some reason, and shut it down.

Watching these disasters is the new gaming. This will not be forgotten when Avowed releases. Obsidian is going to take a massive beating from all sides (including probably likely from Microsoft senior staff).

Letting someone at a director level with clear, racist language in a tweet stay at their job without so much as an apology? Wow.

If they wanted to hand so-called chuds a clear fucking win, here it is. They will get dunked on for months.

Hi! Here are some reasons that you might buy/play Avowed:

You're interested in the narrative and want to see what happens after PoE2: Deadfire.
The dialogue and writing are really well done.
Characters are interesting and the dialogue with them can strike a range of tones.
From what we've seen the game seems to respect your choices and, in turn, provide meaningful consequences to them.
The combat looks immersive, responsive, and overall has made really good impressions.
The game rewards exploration and the world seems dense with hand-crafted places to explore off the beaten path.
The game world has a unique art style not usually seen, and you jive with that.
Any other personal reason you may have to buy/play Avowed.

Here are some reasons you might not buy/play Avowed:

You're a loyal footsoldier on the front lines of the Culture War, and Pronouns are your D-Day.
The NPCs don't look as good as some other games.
You just don't like First-Person Perspective, and the TPP mode looks (understandably) janky.
You really just wanna stick it to Obsidian for one reason or another. Go get 'em Tiger!
You may be a lil' bit racist (or a lotta bit, you do you) and there's a brown person in the game.
The game world has a unique art style not usually seen, and you don't jive with that.
Any other personal reason you may have to not buy/play Avowed.

Hope this helps.

- Dead-fire was so boring barely anyone bought it, if this is a continuation of that then yes no thanks.
- If the writing and dialog was so good, why did no one buy the previous game? and you can't fall-back onto their not being an RPG audience as BG3 100x'd the sales of Pillars and with TB only combat.
- Combat is subjective, i think the FP animations look exaggerated and disconnected to the game-world. There is definitely an outer worlds feel to the combat which wasn't great.
- Blah blah racist
- Unique art style please...
