I'm not baffled at all.

Baldur's Gate 3 basically did what the Marvel movies did: figure out what the lowest common denominator wants, and deliver on a product that pleases a huge demographic to maximize profit.

It's basically a science at this point.
You are right, but I don't think anybody would have predicted such a great number of buyers players.

5e is huge. There's been a blockbuster movie. There are people making very good money just releasing 5e adventure books on kickstarter.

Popular ruleset + big name IP + huge budget + large marketing presence and pandering to degenerate streamers = massive profit

Blockbuster movie? First time hearing about this. I guess I can congratulate myself on avoiding at least some of the mainstream stuff.

You left out one part of the equation. Most of the people buying it are morons.

Ignoring/memory holing it was the right and proper thing to do. If you think BG3 is distilled cringe, the movie might give you an aneurysm. At least that's what I assume from the trailers, they really threw me off ever wanting to watch the thing.

Most people who consume modern popular media are morons, so it doesn't need to be stated.

So is this the Codex's designated BG3 hate thread? Or will I also get banned here for calling it shit?
They banned you? Wtf
Yes from the 2 main threads. They claim I'm spamming when I call BG3 dogshit even though I have always backed it up with valid criticisms. There's plenty of reasons to hate on this piece of shit game, but they just didn't want to hear it anymore and wanted a safe space.

AngryJoe's review is coming out soon, likely to be a 10/10 as well. Remember this guy shilled Cyberpunk 2077. He's even had Swen come on his show before, so you know he's going to shill this slop to the end of the earth and back.

Anyone who thinks BG3 deserves a 10/10 is a stupid idiot. But it will continue to get 9 and 10's from everybody because there are no independent opinions on this game in the media and every review is done under peer pressure or is bought and paid for. You can't stop this overhype train from rolling.

Nobody is arguing that the game isn't popular, you retard. Do you do this whenever someone calls Fortnite a piece of shit?

It's not a counter argument. Get the fuck out of here and go back to your safe space threads.

I see nothing wrong in trying to appease the gay public. I mean, they have a valid market audience to satisfy. What is ridiculous is the baizuo mindset which considers anything that the average white cis male likes ""problematic"", that only "icels" like and at the same time anything "against standards", even literal bestiality porn as ""progress""

* Note : The therm incel is so banalized that even Hugh Hefner would be called as one by modern lefitists, just like the therm fascist. The average British/American soldier which fought Fascism would be considered fascist nowadays.

BTW, looked into the steam forum and people asking for a filter are being banned > https://steamcommunity.com/app/1086940/discussions/0/6045572169617927060/

The most cringe character in BG3
