because magic missiles are enough to win every encounter, and they get stronger as you level up.
you mean like in every other D&D edition?

Yea, but in good old games with rt combat we had more trash mobs, so they weren't as op compared to their implementation in BG III, so it's not the same in old games mobs didn't wake up each other after sleep spell in BG III they made it worthless, so spells can have the same effect but due different system and encounter design you can't compare them.

Magic Missile is even better in older games because improved versions still use level 1 spell slots so you can cast 5 missiles one million times, especially with RoW.

magic missile is one of the best damaging spells for a mage in BG2, so it's kind of funny seeing it called too powerful in BG3 where it's much weaker

"the mobs had bad AI and I liked it that way"
um, ok
I'm sure they'll implement an easy mode for you
Yea, I'm arguing that the game is easy, and your response is that I want easy mode did they dropped you on the head as a child?
let me guess, you think an enemy with infinite HP that does nothing is the ultimate challenge right?

Mobs in BG III have bloated hp compared to older titles, so that's your thing, not mine.

So retarded argument aside, I can't see anyone disputing that the game is pretty easy on normal. Have they announced plans for harder difficulties and given a timeline for when they will be in the game? Will there be an ironman mode? I'm looking for a new game similar to Kingmaker. The same as Kingmaker. Like WoTR only for straight people.

there's no reason to think it won't have the equivalent difficulties of DOS1/DOS2, so a harder mode and an even harder mode with tweaked encounters + better AI

And how much hp they have exactly? Especially compared to older titles.

Encounter Data: Outside the Grove Gates

Encounter Data: Blighted Village Ambush

Encounter Data: Windmill

Not all stats here, but ones that stand out (especially our first 15 HPs)

Encounter Data: Goblin Village

Obviously too many goblins here to do the same thing. I've grabbed a couple different characters

Also, note the distribution of Goblin HPs outside the Goblin Village

# HP
3x 8 HP
3x 10 HP
1x 11 HP
4x 12 HP
1x 14 HP
Novice Crusher (Boss) has 25 HP, 12 AC but he wasn't pulled into combat in this picture.

Encounter Data: Inside the Goblin Base

This is the first area where we're seeing a majority of 15 HP on non-boss Goblins, and at least one 30+ HP on a boss. Their AC fluctuates based on their role.

  • Sharp-eyes, Three, One - 15 HP, 9 AC

  • Novice Muzul, Mrak (Shield) - 15 HP, 14 AC

  • Novice Greez - 12 HP, 8 AC

  • Lookout Nrog, Trinza (melee) - 16 HP, 12 AC

  • Lookout Tizg, Fezk (archers) - 13 HP, 9 AC

  • Novice Skrut (Boss) - 35 HP, 13 AC

  • Rozzak (Boss) - 24 HP, 16 AC

Lmao how can you even say this with a straight face. Both KM and WotR have Zimbabwe levels of inflation in all aspects, HP, attributes, AC, levels and even the amount of enemies. That's the "difficulty" curve as you progress through these games. Braindead AI that you can abuse and that will not employ any sort of tactics against you. The "AI upgrade" from KM to WotR that was jerked off endlessly by the early access shills here amounted to enemy archers staying behind melee units and targeting weak characters first like spellcasters.

Now compare "basic demon" from chapter 1 and "super improved recolored basic demon of super improvenes" from chapter 4 in wrath. And then tell me more about hp bloat.

It has more trannies. Bloated number of trannies, compared to older titles, i would say.

I still can't believe people were actually claiming WotR had an improved AI. After almost 5 months of constant patching, enemies are still casting single-target harmful effects on their allies, using AoE abilities while no one is inside the area, and spamming the same attack even if you're 100% immune to it.

But it's a different system, there is no reason to compare them to old game in that regard Pathfinder offers you tools to deal with those monsters when in BG III you get 40% to hit them unless you use superior magic missiles that always hit.

They already fixed that you should update your info.
