It tanked CDP stock value, it's half of it was before the hype speculation kicked in, and there was horrible inflation in the meantime so it's even worse than the nominal numbers show. So not successful enough.

Although granted Larian is privately owned so company value as perceived by jews, gamblers and assorted parasites isn't an issue by itself, but they did get funding for BG3 from banks or some other loans IIRC, so getting overconfident high on their own farts and producing a dud can be a problem to getting funding in the future. And unlike CDP they don't have GOG as a cushion for credit rating drops.

They generated enough cash flow to keep the company running with multiple projects in development. That's widely more successful than most game development companies. We'll see once the next slate of CD Project games comes out whether the loss of customer trust will have had as much of an impact as everyone assumes.

Other than injecting poz, all other characters were implemented more or less like they were conceived, no serious changes.
It really shows you that the agenda dick was injected between BG's ass cheeks at a specific stage in development.

It would almost seem like the game started going to shit when WotC became more and more involved in the game's development by sending Mike Mearls over to suck Swen's cock.

You know that WotC can't have a game be based because of all the propaganda they spew on a daily basis both in and out of the context of their games.
