They even made a Steam page for Baldur's Gate III but not for Fallen Heroes. It's kind of dick behavior tbh.

In other news, I just noticed that there are finally Baldur's Gate III official forums: http://forums.larian.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=82&page=1

Lilura, maybe they're nicer there than the Beamdog forums.

This is the sort of behavior I'd expect a dev working under a huge publisher would do when someone takes their IP and makes something against their will. But I thought Larian was self published? Nobody forced them to let a tactical Divinity game happen? maybe they've played the game and thought it was too good? A nu-xcom style that reduces the RPG elements, focuses on building decent set pieces well balanced around the sort of squad you can setup might be a better game than anything larian has ever made.

The world will remember Fallout as FPS pseudo-RPG. Likewise Baldur's Gate will be remembered as AAA hack and slash action game with skill cooldown like some MMO.

Yep, even a power-blogger with monocled taste, an iron fist, and millions of views can't stand against such a newfag horde.
Meh,leave the sheeple to their stupidity. RPG was always a monocle hobby and not something for the mindless masses, they had their cod and other unplayable garbage. There will always be rpgs made for the likes of us,maybe it will slow down from time to time but there will be still.

No matter what, we've been through worse than what's coming: Oblivion With Guns.

Are you kidding? Fallout is turn-based isometric with reactivity. BG is just RTwP popamole in comparison to GOAT.

Never has a more monocled fanbase endured so much suffering:

And through that suffering they were purified.

Ahhh at this point i expect nothing from games and don't really care about what it will be. Once it comes out i judge it for what it is....if i am interested at all. There is a lot of garbage that looked promising and some shit that turned out surprisingly well, the last game that managed to hype me was ELEX and for a good reason, the next one that will hype me is ELEX 2.

While Fallout did indeed fall from greater heights, we shouldn't discard the possibility that BG3 might invent new depths. Yeah, most likely it won't be as bad, but still :p

Even if BG3 turns out to be puerile popamole with Superman 64 levels of clunk, Oblivion With Guns will remain the severest travesty and injustice inflicted upon the monocled veteran.

If it ends up like dragon age it won't be a huge disaster. Tho i would mind watching all the pain and suffering here if it ends up like nu DOOM.

Do you consider IWD superior to BG?
I do actually, but I admit it's quite subjective - like a D&D campaign, it depends on whether you are in the mood for one type of campaign or the other.
I have played IWD for 2 hours and I already consider it superior. BG2 might be a different story. But IWD has Giants, BG does not even have hill giants.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Seems to me that BG3 generated quite a bit of buzz, even without Larian revealing any information at all about the game. There'll be more buzz when they reveal any information at all about the game. 2 buzz > 1 buzz. It's really just about the math.

Don’t you think it’s stupid to do a bajillion interviews and not say anything interesting? I mean why waste all that time, I’m sure hype will die down.

Hype would've died down whether they revealed stuff or not. I don't think it would've made much of a difference, to be honest. The important thing is that interviews were done, and published all over the interwebs.
