Ngl, I would watch a video of BG3 normies trying to play KotC, it would be funny af
It would be funny if anyone played his games

It's interesting that on average less than 1 person plays it. As far as I can see, even autistic people from Codex don't play it.
I've played it extensively myself. I can clearly demonstrate my meticulous attention to detail, such as my perfectly applied thermal paste on GPUs—I'm quite detail-oriented, much like someone on the autistic spectrum. However, the question remains: who would embark on another playthrough just for these updates that hardly anyone cares about? The anticipated new DLCs should have already been released, and new campaigns were undoubtedly in high demand. The transition to a 3D isometric view wasn't the essential change needed. I'll revisit the game again once those are released , if ever. It would be too malicious to compare KotC 2 to BG3; BG3 excels in every aspect, and it's not solely a matter of budget. You don't require an enormous budget for fundamental common sense and well-executed design.

You guys should play as the dark urge, it's the complete opposite of bland, and to be quite honest, Sceleritas fel is quite a charming bastard butler to laugh at a little in the meantime.

So, after killing the eagles I feel like that nest is slightly too big for the Blue Jay. I feel like I've been had (though the young eagle you kill first was kinda funny to talk to)

A real player doesn't care how much genocide he has to commit for exp and gold.

That's why I waited to kill the mother until she had called the other eagles before finishing her off. Max exp rewards

Apart from the standard humanoids, there are probably 5-6 fights in the game that use some enemies more than once.

I talked them down from attacking me, so I walked past them. My followers thought it would be h-i-l-a-r-i-o-u-s to walk over their nest to get to me, though. :negative:

Blue Jay tells you a secret tho after you freed "his" nest.

I really love how you find unique encounters in every corner of the map

Yeah, but map feels "theme park" esque often. Like how you will find most of these events or fights literally happening 100 steps away from each other with no connection.

A bigger and less crowded/saturated map would have been much better.

Like those harpies - they are like a two minute walk from the druid grove eating tiefling kids and druids themselves! wtf bro.

This is a double-edged weapon. A larger map can make navigating it boring (especially with backtracking).

The whole mountain pass area and the monastery are top notch. Exploring that temple was high quality start to finish.

Sure, it detracts from immersion but that's not something that matters too much to me so I don't mind it really. I rather have smaller maps crammed full of content than bigger maps with barely anything to do. And at the end of the day, games are kinda theme parks. They are here to entertain, which at least for me works splendidly

Durge is stupid and very buggy on top.

True, the maps are densely packed.
But I'll take theme park over "Here's another cave with Orks" (NWN), "This area is only wolves and bandits" (Dragonage) or "Have another tiny copy-paste map with ONE encounter" (Pathfinder) any day.

3 weeks after release and the game's still raking in 650k active players on Steam. Damn, not even Elden Ring managed to do that.

The game seems bizarrely addictive. A lot of my friends are on their third playthrough but every time we hang out or text they just talk about how much they hate the game

Game's good. That's the secret. It's a well made CRPG with high production value and fun combat. We haven't had that in a while.
