Larian released a CYOA game in YouTube to promote BG3, called Blood in Baldur's Gate. It follows a serial murderer in
1477.
According to official lore, Bhaal returned to existence in
1482, after all the spawn died and his essence was released, so he recombined himself into some sort of being (not actual divine), and reclaimed the murder domain from Cyric.
Baldur's Gate 3 takes place in
1492 and there is the Dark Urge character, who has an innate instinct to murder, and in the trailer was seen standing over a Bhaal symbol.

Thoughts?
Is it a surviving Bhaalspawn? How did Bhaal reconstitute then?
Is it CHARNAME, somehow surviving or reborn?
Is it some weapon Bhaal sent out to do his bidding?
Is it Bhaal himself, as an avatar or as a semi-divine being? And got amnesia due to the brainworm?
Would be weird, since you can pick to be cleric of Bhaal, and be a cleric to yourself.
4chan has this theory:
Anon, the Absolute is the Dead Three merging into a singular God, but Bhaal has a trump card, granting some of his power to a rando who will kill the other two for him before their merging is complete.
The Absolute is some new divine entity that the evil side of the Early Access chapter worships.
