Hope they make the cutscene stretch goal. ToG seems to have some rather inclined artists and I'd love to see what they come up with. If not, I think skipping on animation and going toward NES Ninja Gaiden style cutscenes might be good. In fact, it might actually be better.

Holy shit.

The last minute pledges are real and they are just getting started. I honestly didn't think it would happen for us, but people are contributing faster now than any other days but the first two. This is nuts!

We're also definitely going to be livestreaming on Friday for the countdown. I still don't understand why people want it, but we're doing it.

12 hours to go fuckers. I'm wondering what Chef and the Gang have planned for the livestream. I'm guessing it will be a farce of other livestreams, but I have no idea what that means.

Ahaha, we have no idea what we're going to do and I have no idea what the other livestreams were like because who actually watches that shit? Livestreams to me seem like the single worst thing ever, but people have requested it a million times so we're doing it. It'll be in 5 1/2 hours.

We're probably just going to get drunk and play video games on my huge TV.

Nerf basketball, D&D, bad instrument playing. I'd say drinking, but that doesn't seem to be your style. Hired strippers(PG rating) might get you tenfold the cost. Who knows? maybe you all take fake SAT's and get relegated to some Gamer school, like Collins or something. A feast with turkey legs and steins of cider might work too. Chef playlists....Ect....

Of course all that shit could be combined into awesome scripts in pseudo livestreamia.

Nevermind, I forgot that God wasn't real...

Well, we don't want to saturate peoples' mailboxes with updates like a bunch of other Kickstarters did. That's just obnoxious.
That reminds me of how I got a Thorvalla update long after Thorvalla was cancelled.

I went to check out the livestream and come to find out ToG had scrapped Barkley 2 in favor of a new game called Metal Dungeon.

:rage:

Well including paypal we earned some animated cutscenes.

Of course cboyardee is just going to take all the money and run.

And easily not enough alcohol being consumed on the livestream.

Just wanted to say that I recently heard of the barkley saga from a non-vidya related website, downloaded and finished the first chapter, and now I'm hooked on this franchise. Definitely hyped on the sequel. Congratulations to all people involved.

Also nice shopping carts and prospers in the released screenshots, I really can't wait to see your prosper and shopping-cart related progress as you work on this game.

My hopes for this game are dwindling after seeing all the subhumans involved in its development on the livestream. When the highpoint of a get-together supposedly celebrating a 120k$ jackpot is a guy recounting the various times he inappropriately shit himself, with the quality of content dwindling steeply from then on over a period of hours despite the "brilliant minds" involved, I find it hard to believe that the end result could somehow magically turn into a quality piece of entertainment. I, for one, withdrew my pledge at the 666 mark, but hardly for the purpose of tickling chef's infantile sense of humor. :decline:
